I took my nephew and niece to their first event when they were... five and seven? They each picked out a heavy and a rapier fighter to cheer on (we made favors for them to give as part of the Plan to Keep Little Kids Entertainedā¢). They interpreted this to mean that they were to LOOK AFTER these fighters and spent the remainder of the day taking them water and sharing goldfish crackers with them.
You donāt know happiness until you see a little kid hand a Knight an Uncrustable and have him devour it gratefully.

Do you ever lie awake wondering how the heck Gimli knows what a nervous system is
Clearly dwarves have medical knowledge far more advanced than that of the other races.
His Majesty Dr. Gimli, son of Gloin, Neurosurgeon, M.D.
gimli trying to explain his studies to legolas, a flat-earther
#*scroll down* #*remember that middle earth is canonically flat for elves and round for everyone else* #*scroll back up & smash that reblog button"
tired: legolas took gimli to valinor with him because they were bffs/in love/etc.Ā
wired: legolas took gimli to valinor to prove the world was flat after arguing with him about it for decades
Sorry itās what to elves
So, in Tolkein lore, the world was originally flat, with most of the land in the middle (hence Middle Earth).Ā But the Numenorians (men who were rewarded with their own Atlantis-equivalent island for service in the first big war against Melkor, but eventually Power Corrupts etc) tried to invade the uttermost west which was basically Elf Heaven.Ā To put an end to that sort of thing, the creator of the world Bent The World and made it a sphereā¦but left elves able to treat it like a flat disk.Ā So elves can sail west and reach Elf Heaven, but a man or dwarf or hobbit who sails west will eventually wrap around to the east coast of Middle Earth.
This is why Legolas can see for such great, almost impossible distances. The Earth does not curve for him.

ADHD and autism is basically being considered rude for the dumbest reasons
those reasons are usually 1. ADHD/autistic person didnāt literally read your mind for the Correct Social Cue(s) 2. ADHD/autistic person has a need or a boundary that doesnāt actually harm anyone, but itās not a Correct Social Cue thing so you think they shouldnāt
3. ADHD/autistic person forgot/didn't realise/doesn't know/is just too damn tired to perform the Correct Tone
4. ADHD/Austistic person struggled to understand/ needed a seemingly obvious thing clarified or explained to them and got accused of sealioning/asking in bad faith.
Iāve done quite a bit of research, but ultimately, as your patron is Odin, Iād like to ask you, everywhere Iāve read has said women cannot go to Valhalla, what do you think?
Thatās a modern and ridiculous idea, come up with by modern men.Ā
Half the warriors weāve excavated from the Norse period are women. If someone would like to go back in time and tell those sheildmaids that theyāre not eligible for Valhalla, well, Iām not going to shed any tears when the fools end up with an axe in their head.Ā
The only way this would be true is if Freyja snapped up all the sheildmaidens who fell in battle before Odin got his pick. Freyja does, after all, get first choice of the slain. In which case, those sheildmaids would go to Folkvanger, Freyjaās hall, which is arguably even a better final resting place than Valhalla, as those in Folkvanger will survive Ragnarok and help Freyja rebuild the world.Ā

It was 4am dark, the room was cool, the fan whirred quietly, you held my hand as we slept, I only awoke when your hand was no longer in mine.
