Stress is a body's method of reacting to a challenge. Exams are always challenges for us, so is it possible for schools and universities to ensure that students will not suffer from stress during the exam period? Not really, simply because every single person reacts in a different way to stress and techniques that could work with some students, will not with others. However, there is always the possibility to make the exam period less stressful for everyone. So here are some methods that schools and universities could adopt to achieve this.
Being organized is a main characteristic of the productive people. Then making a revision timetable as we are nearing the exam season is something highly recommended. Revising for 24 hours a day before exams does not necessarily lead to success. However, being organized and frequently review the contents does lead to success.
Perhaps the most important thing when it comes to all-round education is the time for relaxation and the leisure activities. The importance on this activities lies on the fact that stress affects our work performance. So by relaxing we clear our minds and feeling refreshed it becomes easier to deal with challenges such as exams.
Being sure that we studied well for an exam is the best way to avoid stress, there is no better way; the more confident you are, the less stress you will suffer. Being said that, we have to be organized to achieve this confidence. In the other hand, relaxing and leisure activities are essential for student's health and productivity, therefore It is important to establish that exams are very important but at their own level, in other words, they are just to assess our preparation, if we do not fare well in them, it is not the end of the world.
