And even when we are nothing left, not even in death, I will remember you.
Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves (via antigonick)
Who has never killed an hour? Not casually or without thought, but carefully: a premeditated murder of minutes. The violence comes from a combination of giving up, not caring, and a resignation that getting past it is all you can hope to accomplish. So you kill the hour. You do not work, you do not read, you do not daydream. If you sleep it is not because you need to sleep. And when at last it is over, there is no evidence: no weapon, no blood, and no body. The only clue might be the shadows beneath your eyes or a terribly thin line near the corner of your mouth indicating something has been suffered, that in the privacy of your life you have lost something and the loss is too empty to share.

I want something else. I’m not even sure what to call it anymore except I know it feels roomy and it’s drenched in sunlight and it’s weightless and I know it’s not cheap. It’s probably not even real.

Her smile, I’m sure, burnt Rome to the ground.

I haven’t gone dark. I’ve just outsourced a lot of my writing to thesaltypumpkin.bmwill.net (or thewritersgambit.tumblr.com)
And then I’ve been so busy with school I haven’t had time to keep up the commentary on this blog…
But if you get a chance– check out the new blog. And I can’t wait to get back to the regular scheduled program of things that interest me on here. :)
I have all these new books I haven't read. Do I have to read house of leaves for the 6th time?
Yes. Yes I do.
As I understand, I can set a release date for The Gambit Vol 2 with out contradicting anything I have previously said... so... expect that announcement soon.
Chris Pratt already has three Lego MiniFigures. If that’s not success, I don’t know what is.
but they actually used the same face for Jurassic Chris and Guardians Chris... that’s some serious lego detail.
Junkie.
The worst part is not realizing you’re gonna’ kill yourself even though you are not suicidal.
It’s looking those that love you in the eye and telling them you’ll change– knowing full well you won’t.
part one from Scarecrow. You can find a copy of the full book from my store at: http://bmwill.net/store/
PSA
So here’s the deal: I like poetry.
I have been working on a youtube channel in which I read poetry– not linking to it yet because there are like two videos up and they are just me screwing around learning how to post videos and what not. However you know my name so you could probs find it if you want
Now if I can generate enough interest in say three or four weeks I am planning to do a live stream where I will read original work, and other poems people have requested (if legally possible)..
So get interested… for the first live stream of: thesaltypumpkin reads poetry.
(if you’re interested… likes and comments go a long way in showing me that, and actually making this thing happen :) )
Scarecrow

It’s a little late... but you guys are gonna love this one.
pick up a copy if you get a chance!

friendly reminder that natalia alianovna romanova:
was alive during world war 2
was rumored to be related to the last ruling czar in russia
is actually around steve’s real age, if not older
“she is bio-technologically and psycho-technologically enhanced; an accounting that provides a rationale for her unusually long and youthful lifespan”
while in the Red Room, nat trained under the winter soldier and that’s where she got the name black widow
her husband alexi was the kgb’s answer to cap aka the red guardian
there were 26 other girls in the Black Widow Program
was the director of shield
actually does have superpowers that are similar to steve’s
she is classified by shield as a superhuman
she can lift 500+ pounds
“Natasha’s natural agility is heightened to a level greater than that of an Olympic gold medalist”
“Natasha’s bodily tissues have been augmented to the pinnacle of human development. Though she can be injured in the typical ways other humans can be, she possesses exceptional human strength, endurance, and stamina.”
“While she is susceptible to disease, the Black Widow has been enhanced by biotechnology that makes her body resistant to aging and disease and heals at an above human rate.”
“She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats.”
“Natasha’s intellect is at level 3, putting her on par with Steve Rogers.”
“Natasha can hack into all computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security with ease.”
“Natasha is often [Cap’s] first choice as a second-in-command officer in the Avengers, enabling her to utilize all of talents.”
is actually the coolest avenger and has arguably the most interesting backstory in the marvel universe
and if you don’t believe me, read the rest of her background.
Oh man, I thought I was going mad and woke up in a world where all of this wasn’t canon anymore. Thank God it is.
Some black widow appreciation.
I honestly think a Black widow centric movie (origin story?) with the winter soldier as the villain would be the best thing to ever happen to the MCU... .-. (So long as they focused on her-- not Bucky. As much as I love Bucky. That wouldn't be his movie. )
Current line up of my work and projects to get excited for, in order of release (no exact dates, because I think we have already established that I am not good at sticking to those) 1. The Gambit Vol. 1: Hand Guns and Gas Grenades (released) 2. Scarecrow (post production) 3. The Gambit Vol. 2 (production) 4. Parasite (development) 5. The Gambit Vol. 3 (Pre-production)
Phase one of my self publishing. Stuff for you all to look forward to :)
