How will this work?

If you do not have anyone:
I will provide a google sheet to fill for those of you who do not have someone to write with. Please either choose from the people already there or fill it!
The description says 5 chapters, but we only need THREE: each writer will write three (3) chapters, for a total of six!
You (as a team) will choose two (2) tropes and two (2) prompts that are opposite!! This will be most fun if your choice are truly opposite, so keep that in mind as you choose!

How many words per chapter? You will decide a range between the two of you. What is doable for each writer always changes so it is up to your team to decide.
Sign up period: June 1st to June 30th
Writing starts July 1st
There WILL be check-ins every two (2) weeks!

This is monthly challenge event for fanworks featuring Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans characters. You have to be 18+ to participate.
Each month a set of prompts will be posted and everyone is welcome to participate. You can participate both as a creator and/or commenter. You will receive badges for participation which you can insert in your masterlists, blog etc.
Prompts will be posted by the 3rd of each month. You can submit entries to the challenge between 10th of each month to the 10th of the next.
The first sets of prompts will be announced in January 2026. Please make sure you follow this blog for updates. In the meantime, please share and spread the word!

Example badges:
You may still use these prompts as inspiration beyond the challenge duration but those fanworks will not count as an entry. So we will not reblog it and that entry won't be eligible for a badge.
We don't accept any AI generated work. Submitters of AI work will receives a warning and then continued use will result in a ban
Starting January 2026, this challenge will run for 4-month trial period to gauge interest and participation. This is currently running pretty bare bones. I will decide whether to continue (and expand) or halt it based on that.

Core Values
This open monthly challenge is to foster community and appreciate each other's fanworks. We highly encourage you to participate by not just creating but also sharing and commenting on works of other participants, especially if it is someone you don't interact with regularly.
This is a welcoming space regardless of background, race, sexuality, gender identity or skill level. Be kind and respectful to all participants.
How it works?
Each month you will be provided with a set of prompts. You can create a fanwork based on these prompts. This can be writing, art, podfics, moodboards, playlist, etc.
You can participate as a Creator and/or Commenter.
You may fulfill as many prompts as you like.
Prompts will be posted by the 3rd of each month. The monthly challenge runs from the 10th of current month to the 10th of the next month. Ex: The January challenge will run from Jan 10 to Feb 10. The prompts will be available by Jan 3rd.
You must have a tumblr post for your created work. If you have posted your work elsewhere, like Ao3, you may link to it from your tumblr post. That link must be accessible to everyone. This is so we can easily reblog it via this page.
Tag this blog and use #ssmchallenge and a month-specific tag usually - #ssm{month}{YYYY} when you post your work for us to share on this blog.
You will receive a badge for participating in the monthly challenge. The badge changes each month. You can use it in your masterlists, on your fanwork, post it on your blog, make a collage - whatever you heart wants.
As a creator, you will receive a monthly challenge creator badge after you submit your work.
As a commenter, you will receive a monthly commenter badge if you comment and share at least 3 of entries that month. We highly encourage you to comment on works from creators you generally don't interact with as much.

Blocking Policy
Blank blogs and blogs with sparse posts will be blocked
Please put an indicator of your age in your bio or pinned post or else you will be blocked
If you are using a sideblog and your main blog doesn't indicate any connection, or doesn't meet any of the above criteria but your sideblog does, please let us know so we don't accidentally block you
Violators of our AI generated content policy will be blocked
Copying and reposting work that you did not create will be blocked
Copying badges without participation will also lead you to be blocked
This is policy is firm. Attempts to negotiate with the blocking polices will not be entertained, especially if they are on anon. You will not receive a response.
