“The scent of Northshore” project is created to honour the vegetation vital to Aboriginal people used to live in “Yerrol” or Northshore Hamilton area in the past. The project will be a craft workshop offering making candles, soap bars, and fragrance with a unique scents range comprising the odour of Yerrol’s important spices, namely vines, palms, cedars, pines, orchids and figs. The workshop will not merely be a spot for entertainment and relaxation as it is also a place where visitors can be educated about the historical knowledge relating to the Aboriginal community.
Five significant skills to realise the project:
Design thinking - design a workshop for the CUSTOMER
Researching skill - the history of Yerrol and the Aboriginal community
Teamwork
Long term budget management
Social media skill - increase the workshop’s exposure
