"I am so sorry, I didn't see you there."
"No, really. I can’t let you take the blame."
"Well I certainly can't let you take the blame."
"Hmm..."
Meredith gave him a light punch in the arm at his jest, rolling her own eyes in tandem despite the fact that she knew he was kidding. Scott was one of the few bearable guys in town if only for the reason that he had a good dose of humility despite his accomplishments. “I’ll never get over your good looks, Scott Danverport. So help me God.” She mocked, before smiling. “Does shaving your legs seriously help when swimming?? How does that work?” She asked honestly, somewhat curious about the concept. “In that case, girls should be better swimmers than guys pretty much universally! As for priorities, oh I don’t know… Maybe winning the race?? I still don’t see how a bottle of Nair can help with that but hey, I don’t spend much time under water.” Meredith said with a shrug.
Scott smiled at Meredith, letting out a laugh as he continued trying to figured out the item out. It looked like clothing, and felt like clothing, but it worked like a puzzle. "What is this?" He muttered in exasperation. "Girls wear this?" He asked his friend, defeated. "Seems to help some. It's supposed to make you more hydrodynamic. Why do you think we wear swim caps?" He answered simply. "It's like when the adjust planes to make them more aerodynamic, but swimmers adjust their bodies to make themselves hydrodynamic." He added, hoping he was explaining it well. "Not necessarily. I can swim better than a lot of girls and my legs and arms aren't shaved." He countered. "I personally think you don't need to shave your arms and legs, but some do. If my way doesn't work, I may try out theirs."
"I am so sorry, I didn't see you there."
"It's my fault. I should've been paying attention better."
Emily looked up from her hot chocolate to see someone had sat in the seat across from her. “Well hello there.” She said with a friendly smile.
"Is this seat taken?" Scott asked, acting as if he didn't know the brunette across from him. He took a sip of his hot chocolate before taking a moment to look around the room. "By chance, have you seen a high-pitched, brunette midget running around here? I haven't seen her anywhere lately." He teased, trying to not crack a smile.
First Generation
Mike Danverport: Brother (Living)
Mike had flaws, like all people. Unlike most, Scott accepted Mike's and overlooked them. Mike was his brother and we do anything for him. Growing up, Scott wanted to be just like Mike. He'd tried to impress him and stay caught up to him for most of his life. Eventually, Scott reached an age where he wasn't fond of his brother's actions. He no longer wanted to be like Mike. Becoming his own person, he still looked to his brother for guidance and support. Scott will protect his brother till the day that he dies.
Second Generation
Marion Danverport: Mother (Living)
Marion had her moments where she was a loving mother and moments where she was his father's wife. She knew the importance of her husband's work and she never wanted to disappoint him. At the same time, she felt that Fabian was too hard on their children. While Scott may not necessarily go to his mother for comfort and support, he does love her and would do anything for her. He tries his best to be someone she can be proud of.
Fabian Danverport: Father (Living)
Fabian had always been a strict father. He always pushed his sons harder than most thought he should. Scott spent most of his life looking for his father's approval, something the man hardly ever had. His work was his main priority. It always out shone his children. Scott resented his father for years, wishing he'd be like the other fathers. He never played catch with them or gave them fatherly advice; he merely half glance and scoffed. With age, Scott learned to accept his father for who he was and his father slowly learned what it meant to be a father. His father is still working on that.
Third Generation
Rose Dawson: Grandmother (Living)
Rose had always been a kind woman. She always snuck Scott and his brother candies and presents when his parents weren't looking. Her cooking was something Scott wished his mother had gotten, still to this day. The woman was magic in the kitchen. His parents never really had them around because they were 'too laid back', which he knew was code for 'they're hippies and we disapprove'. He loved that his Grandparents had been and were hippies. It amused him and it brought a nice, light joy to his life.
Jack Dawson: Grandfather (Living)
Jack was like a father to Scott. He was the one to play catch with him and encourage him to stay a kid for as long as he could. The man would tell him stories, fact and fiction. He took Scott on many great adventures without them ever having to leave a room. Growing up, the boys, mainly Scott, would stay at his Grandparent's house on the weekends. A lot of his fondest memories came from his time with Jack.
Kasey Danverport: Grandmother (Living)
Kasey was much like a combination of his parents, though she leaned more towards his father's traits. He was never around her much. She was always away at Tea's and Societies. Whenever she was around, she put everything down. Whether it was the decoration of the house or the painting of a five year old Scott, nothing was worthy. He's cordial and polite anytime she's around, but he normally steers clear of her.
Lucas Danverport: Grandfather (Deceased)
Lucas was an easy going man, though he claimed he was much like Scott's father when he was younger. He was always telling his son to calm down and enjoy life and always telling his wife to stop. He loved the woman, but her snottiness was something he wouldn't out up with. Scott always looked up to his Grandfather. He held a certain class while maintaining to be laid back. He was an amazing combination of all his family members. His Grandfather was hands down his favorite person in the world. Scott could go to him for anything. His death really rocked him.
"Hmm..."
"Attractive enough." She replied with a coy grin. It was true. With his blue eyes, lean build and symmetric features, Scott was definitely a looker. Add to that his swim-team captain status and fairly humble nature and he was bound to have a gaggle of girls eager to date him. She smiled when he returned her compliment before turning towards another pile of clothes and thrusting a tuque towards him to try on. “You have to shave your legs for swimming?? Really??” She asked in surprise. “Not that I’m complaining but I’d think they have other priorities.” Meredith added with a grin.
Scott playfully rolled his eyes. "Enough? Yeah right. You'll never find someone more attractive than me." He joked, giving her a serious face before letting out a laugh. He didn't think of himself that way. Granted, he didn't think he was horrible looking, but he'd never thought he was good-looking. That may or may not've had to do with having Mike as a brother. Scott caught the item thrown at him, turning it as he tried to figure out what it was. His eyebrows furrowed before answering the red head. "You don't have to, I don't think anyways, but it does help." He said shrugging. He'd never been told he had to shave his legs but he hadn't done anything with the big leagues but practice. He hoped he didn't have to. "Such as?"
"Hmm..."
Meredith grinned at the jab and twirled around to face Scott. “As attractive as you are, I don’t think you can pull off a mid-thigh length coral dress, sweetheart. You need shaved legs for that, I promise.”
"You think I'm attractive?" Scott teased, wiggling his eyebrows at Meredith. "You're pretty attractive yourself." He replied, winking at her. He did think Meredith was a beautiful girl, but he wasn't attracted to her. He was sure she felt the same. "I'm a swimmer. I'll probably have to one day. I can get a head start."
”Same but different..Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you when you start thinking ‘oh god where did I got myself into?’.”, Sofia said with a soft smirk on her lips, “I’ll probably remind you that I warned you when the time comes next weekend.”.
"I think I'll be alright. We've all done stuff together before, so I know what I'm getting myself into." Scott responded, matching her expression. "Go ahead and remind me, but I plan to have a good time."
If there were one word which was automatically to your name in Google searches, which word would you want it to be?
Medalist.
What was the last thing that made you laugh?
22 Jump Street.
Would you have sex with the last person you text messaged?
Maybe.
”Because it was Rebecca’s idea..and there’s heavy balls there..and Dimitri will be there..and someone, as know as me, will have to continue reminding our dearest friend the progress she made in treating Dimitri with more….cordiality..and possibly still prevent her from crushing his feet with the ball ‘accidently’.”
”Are you 101% sure you want to get in the middle of all this?”
"You make some valid points, but I'd rather get in the middle of all this than sit at home with my parents. If that's alright with you, Rebecca, and Dimitri. Besides, it'll be like old times, but in a different way."
"Hmm..."
"Are you sure? It looks more like my color than yours." Scott teased, before letting out a laugh and playfully rolling his eyes.
"Well I haven't bowled in awhile, but why not?"
"Come onn Scott, it’s the twenty first century. Women can hold up their own, even financially. And good that’s better." JJ said, satisfied to see him putting his wallet away. "So tell me more about your ambitions for being a professional swimmer. Have you thought about competing in the olympics?" She asked, not only out of a bid change the subject from the topic of money matters but also because she was simply curious.
Scott just nodded his head, wanting her to feel better. He did agree with her words, but he also tried his best to be a gentleman. Sometimes woman weren't for that, and he respected it. "I have actually. During the summer, I was training with an Olympic coach. He thinks I have some potential." He spoke casually, not wanting to seem to boast, as he took a sip of the coffee.
