Listen...if anyone ever tells you "aww these beats are repetitive" then they truly aren't in the groove.
You get lost in the rhythm and let wind take you, whether you're concentrating on the sample, the bassline or the breakdown.
This one here is perfect...you gotta know when to let the loop ride or when to chop it up, D.Dot and Yeezy chose wisely.
Koen - 662 (from the EP Outputs Vol 1)
Koen is a dope producer from Holland, probably my favourite heat rock from his Output series of instrumentals, this one being from the first volume.
Thick snares and lush synth lines layered on top some intricate chops make this a delightful 3 minute adventure, little peek of the sample at the end (soundin like some vintage Luther or suttin!) just tops it off. Enjoy the ride.
Check the rest of Outputs Vol 1 out, perfect mood music instrumentals; you wont be disappointed..
3 Perfect Neptunes Jigga Joints
They've done much more work with Jigga over the years, but here are the times I think they out and out nailed it, no question.
Jay-Z - Allure (The Black Album, Rocafella 2003)
Probably my favourite "neptunes stock kit snare" joint ever, follow the rabbit hole into that infamous tinny snare they've processed over and over for their early '00s signature sound (one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight | nine) and so on... Just sounds so right and so final, feels like a turning point in what was supposed to be Jigga's last album; feels solemn, poignant and necessary...another infinate looper. I ain't even mad at the cannons..
Jay-Z - Excuse Me Miss (The Blueprint 2 - The Gift & The Curse, Rocafella 2002)
Quintessensial Jay-Z ladies joint here, not sure what makes this so dreamy, could be the phaser on the synth pad, them pitch bent clavs or the 80's kinda groove of the rhythm, toms are so necessary too. Knowing the Neptunes they probably just got in the time machine and made this in the 80's just for extra authenticity....AMAZING.
Jay-Z - I Know (American Gangster, Rocafella 2007)
Can't lie...I didnt really rock with that American Gangster joint but this one here sonned the rest of the album on a beat level like no other, also made mincemeat of the other Neptunes joint "Blue Magic". Lush pads, Arpegiated detuned bells and some soft drums bundled with intricate percussion...wonder where Pharrell and Chad took the spaceship to make this one..beautiful! Zoe Kravitz :P helped along the visual treatment too as Jigga came full circle with a great addiction concept....(its aobut the beat over here tho!) So there you have it, 3 examples of songs by 1 guy made by 2 guys not from earth. *VULCAN/STARTRAK SALUTE*

Oh yes...greatness from one of Cincinatti Ohio's greatest J.Rawls, this is the reprised / extended instrumental joint of the earlier cut on the same album that features Homeskillit.

This one im secretly smug about because I played a hand in selecting the sample...It was previously an entry to the Louis Den League 2009 and Jai got paired with a producer called DJ Kryptonite that week (hence the beat name) and was drawn a random sample from the pot I had...okay so I didn't handpick it haha..
But yeah, I think the beat gods visited Jaisu while this was made and beamed him off to an alien planet...with colours we've never seen before and air we couldn't possibly breathe...muhfuggin wonderous this is, my ears are smiling (is that even possible?)
