it’s been awhile. i’d like to write, but i don’t know if i should restart my threads or continue.
opinions?
XOXO! Anonymously send my muse a love letter from a secret admirer
Bonus points if you leave hints to who it is!
does anyone know where i can find that “send me a fc and i’ll create a muse for them” meme? or just send me fcs and i’ll create a muse for them because i’d like a new muse thanks.

“the musical swill they offer us these days in the name of art is shameful.” tala complained as she reached for a glass. the bar had been playing some ‘mega mix’ of 2021 hits and she wanted to SCREAM. it all sounded like circus music to her. possibly good for a little fun, but all day? no chance. “who is their target audience? not those of us who frequent this place, i promise you that.”
mortals. that’s who.

aponi:
the omen.
blood pours from you easier than most people. wherever you go, you’ll be watched. children will learn fear from you. the people you love will be scared to witness. they’ll shut their ears and put you away and once you’re gone, you’ll be hollowed until all that remains is the message. you were always the first sign of what was to come. in time, people will forget you were even a person. yours is a silent epilogue. if you are saved, it will be out of the spotlight. you’re more than your baggage, omen.

tala:
the higher power.
you’re the best, you’ve always been the best, and now everyone who’s ever doubted you is gone. you’ve gotten everything you wanted. you smoked all your competition. but something inside of you just won’t settle. all the evil of the world is still out there, all the big problems that you never got around to. in spite of your skill, this is something you simply can’t handle yourself. but that’s ok. you’ve got new, shiny pawns to play with. you know how to make people do what you want. the ends justify the means, right?
// personality: talented, calculating, overbearing / / counterpart: the ghost //
tadhg:
the killer.
you got fucked up something awful. sorry. i dont know why or when it got so bad for you, but now that heat feels so true to you that it’s hard to imagine a you without it. there’s nothing grand about the damage you do. it isn’t the kind that people write stories about. for this reason, it’ll be a while before anyone stops you, if they ever come around to it. it’s all the more likely that you’ll have to dig your own way out of this pit. one day you won’t even remember how blood tasted. the rage won’t keep you warm forever, killer!
// personality: intense, introspective, edgy / / counterpart: the dark horse //

eyes gazed through the creature before him, he’d overheard these sentiments before; they all had an identical effect. ’you’re a monster’, what was he to do? cry? maybe wince, who knew these days. michael knew he was a monstrosity, he knew that the day he tried to strangle his grandmother and even further so when she overdosed to get away from him. there was no substantial care to her perspectives, her words held no genuine weight or merit for him. why would he have any consideration for any variety of life, they were all the equivalent at the end of the day; inadequate.
“is THAT the B E S T you have for me? monster?” he couldn’t help but let an airy chuckle out, “who are you to tell me i should do anything? hm?” a brow perked. most nights he would have left after the sacrifice resigned, but tonight was a satisfying night and this being was bringing it down. michaels lips would resume tugging into a grin, one that even touched his eyes; “coming with you where exactly?” it was apparent this, thing, had no idea who he was – not even the first clue.
she could try to take him somewhere but it would be for naught, he’d remain in his place. silently he placed an anchor to his spot, being sure should she have the abilities he’d remain where he was – at her displeasure he was sure.
no.
it was clear, from the conversation and the way the other stood, that this man was no mere mortal. to simply label him as just ‘a monster’ was a disservice to every other being like herself that she’d found roaming the woods.
aponi’s confidence waivered. she’d probably made a mistake coming here and getting involved.
when she realized her form wasn’t intimidating him, she gave up the illusion, her feet hitting the ground with a subtle THUD. standing before him now was simply... aponi. a young woman who was once again in over her head.
“why did you take their life?” she asked earnestly with a wave of her hand. silent and covert, a single moth moved to land on her shoulder. the feeling brought her comfort and even alleviated her nerves slightly.
cristinatheincredible·:
It wasn’t that Cristina couldn’t have paid cash, her store was doing very well, but the bartender found himself needing to cleanse his own home despite being a demon himself. She was always happy to provide others with what they needed.
“Tadhg,” Cristina repeated, leading him towards the door. “I know where it’s from. I’m familiar with it.” It was a name that often came up when she looked through her Celtic spell books. “How long are you going to be in town?” She asked curiously as she stepped into the warm night air.
tadhg followed the woman quietly, just observing her the best he could. she was interesting little lady. she didn’t seem at all intimidated by him, which he was mostly grateful for. he had no reason to need her to fear him. he needed nothing from her.
“in town...?” tadhg repeated, confusion clear in his voice. he’d lived here for centuries now, but he never wandered out to this side of the city, it was true. he mostly kept to himself. “as... long as the wind keeps me.”
@cristinatheincredible:
When Cristina had found herself without a coven or purpose in her life, her next best option was to turn to helping others. As it turned out, there were more magical beings like her than she had realized and they sometimes required her assistance. Not to mention that humans got a kick out of notebooks with witchy images and crystals they’d purchase without knowing how to use. It was endearing to say the least.
The brunette took the money with a smile and slipped the bills into the register, the woman’s overpaying not going unnoticed. “Thank you. It’s nice to have someone come around who values my help,” she told her honestly as she shut the drawer once more and made a note to research “shifter-friendly” jewelry.
There was something about this woman that made Cristina want to know more. Who was she? What is her story? Would she like to spend more time together. At the invitation, she could get her answer out fast enough. “I’d love to,” she said brightly, blushing when she realized her own eagerness. “I will teach you anything you’d like to know.”
tala was... bold by nature. she flirted, and she usually got what she wanted. then again, she usually stuck to her own type. people like her, who were equally as bold. out in the 'real world,' there was a degree of decorum expected of a person. so she bit back her initial reaction to ‘anything you’d like to know’ and simply smiled instead. “well, what time do you close the shop?”
she placed her items on the counter once more in a move that let the other know she was in no rush to leave.

his teeth bare slightly, entire being prickling with resentment at the creature in front of him. his genes are commanding him to rip through him, tear him limb by limb and laugh as he burns the rest. it’s a horrifying image and not one usually behind the kind eyes of the black boy, but in the presence of an enemy it is all that he can think of. ‘and why would i tell you a thing?’ not to mention the truce he currently has with the cullens … nor how far he’d go to protect them from one rogue vampire.
“because you’re a nice little wolf, i can tell.” tadhg insisted, his irish accent DRIPPING with sarcasm. he had to get the one last dig in before he tried a new method. the other may have LOOKED like a boy, but he had the backbone of a man. time to appeal to a different side of him. “and because y’wouldn’t want me to be alone, would you? out here with no tribe of people. i’m sure you have a clan, right? help me to find one.”
spaceheatcr·:
something suspicious was going on. the boy feels it in his bones, feels the hairs on his neck standing at attention. he had the feeling that this was more than a girl whom had gotten lost or hurt in the woods. even her look was more predator than prey … calculating. and he had been blinded by playing the hero.
‘what are you really doing out here?’ he questions, voice growing colder and stern. ‘where are these men? show them to me now.’ an alpha voice coming from him - an authority ringing in the air.
the voice that came from the other caught tala off guard. suddenly he was no longer a white knight or a would-be hero. he was an EQUAL. he was... more than an equal? an authority. he spoke in a manner she hadn’t heard in decades.
“alright.” she conceded before turning on her heels and leading him into the woods. it didn’t take her long to reach the very sparse remains of the men who’d challenged her. “it was myself or them.” tala explained.
@spaceheatcr
“silence now, little wolf.” tadhg warned. perhaps those were strange words to be said for the first time he had ever met the other, but to him, the meaning was clear. ‘do not speak, do not try to speak. i will be the one leading this conversation.’ he wasn’t a NICE man. he didn’t HAVE to be. what he NEEDED was to find out more about this area he’d stumbled into, filled with people who both didn’t understand him on species and didn’t understand him on principle. “i need you to tell me what’s happening here. how many of us are there?”

Not a very patient man and not a man many would consider kind-—but he was not cruel in the face of such simple, polite requests. He regards her with a flat look and reached for his phone from his pocket. ❝ I’m not quite from around here either, but I’m sure I could try. ❞ modern technology meant simple maps at one’s fingertips after all.
❝ Where exactly is it you’re looking to be?❞
aponi scanned the man’s face as he responded to her, frowning when she could find little to no reaction from him. if she was a nuisance, he wasn’t letting on. of course, if she WASN’T, she wouldn’t know that either. she watched him pull his phone out of his pocket and shrugged. she’d always thought she should get one of those one day, but it seemed so... counterproductive. who would she call? couldn’t people track her that way?
so, no. she’d stick to finding kind-- or indifferent-- strangers to achieve what she needed.
“i need to find... a hospital.” she spat the words out as if they pained her to say, simply because they did. while her abilities insured she never had to face aging or a natural death, they didn’t protect her from every wound. she could heal, but it was typically a slow process. she moved her hand to reveal a fresh bullet wound with a hiss of pain.
cristinatheincredible·:
Cristina nodded in agreement and waved for the bartender’s attention. When she got it, she slipped two bundles of white sage on the table that the man quickly scooped up and pocketed. “That’s for both mine and this gentleman’s drinks,” she said. The bartender nodded and let them be.
The brunette finished off her drink quickly and slipped off the stool onto her feet. “Come along,” she said to the man. “I’m Cristina, by the way.”
tadhg watched as this woman paid for their drinks in... sage, was it? yes, he was pretty sure. he wasn’t aware they accepted less than cash here, but it was interesting to note. he was doing well enough for himself that he hoped it wouldn’t be an issue, but... just in case, he was glad to know that now.
he stood after she did and nodded. “tadhg.” before anyone could question his name, he’d picked up a habit of clarifying, “it’s irish.”

“This place isn’t all that bad, it’s kind of a safe haven for people like us,” Cristina explained, moving a large rose quartz to adjust the other smaller crystals around it. “Lots of people come to see me. Mortals too but they stick around here,” she said, gesturing to the front bookshelves. “If you’re looking for something more magical, it’s all on those back shelves.”
cristinatheincredible·:
Cristina took inventory of her books and reordered what was most requested. People lately seemed to be wanting to read more up on the dark arts, perhaps she’d have to follow up with them to make sure they were practicing appropriately. After all, if one of them slipped up and caused panic in the somewhat still mortal town, it could cause chaos for everyone.
She looked up at the other woman and smiled softly. “Please, I’d rather people be wary of me than not. It shows that our kind is still cautious. Cautious is good,” she told her, only ringing up the candles and cards before gently placing everything in a reusable bag. “Thank you. I hope to see you again soon. Oh, and if you have any questions that are urgent, call or drop by at any time,” she added, holding out a business card.
tala could appreciate cristina’s desire for caution. she much agreed with the other woman that it seemed hesitancy was a dying trait. it had all too often saved lives, but more and more, people seemed to crave instant validation or immediate thrill... or even simply making others comfortable... without reviewing the risks first. to find someone who seemed on the same wavelength as her was rare these days.
“thank you.” tala accepted the card and nodded, making note of the lack of charge for half the order. she fished out some cash-- another hold out that she kept more out of necessity, as cash made it harder to track her-- and laid it on the counter. it was a few dollars over the amount, but nowhere near worth the items that she HADN’T been charged for, so she didn’t mind paying the extra.
she turned to leave before pausing and turning back. something about the other woman was like a beacon of light and tala fight like a weary traveler on the sea, just hoping for some glimmer of someone else out there. she couldn’t just LEAVE. “perhaps... you could teach me how to use these? at my house, maybe?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
