- A stuffed animal they can cuddle since you’re too far away

- A cute pair of socks (who doesn’t love socks???)

- make them a playlist of all the songs that make you think of them

- buy them something small they like (like their favorite perfume or lipstick or book or nail polish)

- you can never go wrong with gift cards (A gift card to a book store or their favorite place to eat!!!)

- send them a snuggly blanket since you can’t keep them warm this season

- fill a notebook with things you love about them and your favorite memories with them

- get them a promise ring or a promise necklace!!!

- give them one of your favorite things (like your favorite stuffed animal or bottle of perfume or literally anything) so they can feel closer and have something that you love

- A cute picture of you (I’m old school and I swear if my gf sent me like a Polaroid picture of herself I would sob)

- make them something (A poem, a song, a little writing piece, a painting, a drawing)

- A bag of Hershey kisses because you cant kiss them right now!!!

- make a “Bad Day Box” for them and fill it with little notes and nice things about them and happy memories and maybe one or two little things like your necklace or something to remind them of you.

Dear El,

Now why are you jealous, Elliott? You ought to know by now that you are the most wonderful guy that I know, and of course I wouldn’t trade you for the world. You mean everything to me, and I can’t imagine throwing all of this away for anybody. You are by far the most handsome, cutest, sweetest, most loving, most caring, best looking, most genuine, most AMAZING person I have ever met, let alone dated!! You could do so much better than me, but I am so blessed to have this chance with you, love. So you never have to worry about me leaving you for someone else or even flirting with somebody else! I made these for my mom for her birthday! This helped so much! My favorite as well as her’s was the zombie apocalypse one. I wrote it on flashcards and put them in envelopes. Then i got a trifold and deocrated it. I taped the envelopes to the side of the board with gold tape & i used scrabble letters as the “title” on top of everything! She loved them! thank you so much for the inspo! <3

omg ok i posted this once but i forgot to comment IM SO GLAD!!! my boyfriend loved the zombie one too and I LOVE the idea of the board i might have to use that for one of the big holidays (: thanks for your feedback i LOVE hearing from you guys!! i’m sorry i’m not super active during the school year with college and work, but i’ll hopefully be back a bit in the summer writing for elliotts birthday!

Open When it’s Our Anniversary!

Dear El,

Holy crap we’ve been dating for an entire year now! I can’t even tell you how happy it makes me to know that you’ve been mine for a year. You’ve shown me what it means to be in love and to be in a happy, healthy, loving relationship and I honestly can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I am so very glad that a year ago Cassidy helped get us together and that you somehow managed to deal with me for these past 12 months. I know I can be a handful and a pain, but you found a way to tolerate me and love me, and I’m so grateful for you. You really are the best thing that has ever happened to me, El. I hope that we have many many more years together, baby. You’re my best friend and that’s what makes us work so well. You’re the first person I want to see in the morning (even when I’m grumpy because, y’know, mornings), the last person I want to see at night, and the person I wanna hang out with in between. I’m so glad that I can spend days with you and never get tired of you. I love you, El, and please don’t ever forget that. Thank you for the best year I could have ever asked for!

Open When it’s the day I Come Home

I know I’ve only been gone for a few days for Christmas, but I can already tell you I’ve missed the CRAP out of you! I wish I could have been here with you for Christmas, but I’m glad we can at least spend New Years together! I love you so stinking much, El! I hope you had a great couple of days with your family or whatever you did, and I hope you got some stinkin’ awesome presents! I hope you liked your gifts from me too! I know it wasn’t a whole lot this year, but I promise when I’m not so broke from school/rent/bills I will spoil the hell out of you. You deserve the greatest gifts that money can buy, and I’m sorry I can’t give you all of that. But hopefully your present and these letters are at least okay. You mean so much to me and I wanna tell you all the time so you never forget how much you mean to me!
