When you read a book as a child, it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other reading in your whole life does.

Nancy Drew
Nancy Drew calmly strolls up to the counter, orders a stiff drink, and relaxes in the corner while poring over what appears to be an ancient book. Twenty minutes later, the Hardy Boys run breathlessly into the shop, rejoicing at their physical fortitude and apparent genius at having solved yet another alliterative mystery: the Location of the Lost Latte Lagoon. The barista points over to Nancy Drew, who tips her glass to the two sweaty gentlemen and nonchalantly goes back to her book.
Dear young reader, if these notes of mine have fallen into your hands, remember that the best and most enduring changes are those that come about as a result of an improvement in morals, without any violent upheavals.

Wonderful day with a wonderful friend! I've been blessed this birthday!
Marilyn & Me
I think I derive a certain sense of pride when I bike around the city. Of course there are days when I choose to bike that I regret later, but for the most part, I feel awesome. I’m not trying to sound full of myself, because I do think it’s okay to be proud of the things we do sometimes! We just have to have the wisdom to not let a good feeling turn into a state of being conceited. And I digress.
I love the feeling of whipping through traffic as if saying, “you can’t stop me!” to everyone in their cars. I love strapping my helmet to my backpack and have it hit things as I walk around, because it’s a reminder that I exercised already that day. I love the freedom to go anywhere in the city for free, and without cost to the environment. It’s just the best!
I only wish that my little old Marilyn would stop breaking down on me. First her tire goes flat, then her brake cables break, then her brake pads wear down, then her seat gets stolen twice. She and I have been through a lot, and her time might be up. And now this post has turned into a eulogy. Oh my dear Marilyn.
Lord I find You in the seeking Lord I find You in the doubt And to know You is to love You And to know so little else I need You

Country strong! Okay that was cheesy, but this girl is such an awesome friend. She deserves the cheese! We laugh, study, dance, work out and eat together. Nurses have a bond like no other.
I may have tried on a few dresses whilst shopping for Prom dresses with my younger sister. Someone please take me somewhere fancy so I can wear dresses like this!! (I did not buy it...Ralph Lauren)
My sister's awesome chalkboard wall!
Who says you can't go to see a movie by yourself? It's actually quite enjoyable.
I may be exploiting McDonald's this week. Oh well!
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

Free coffee all week longggg
Is it sad that I actually get so excited when I walk out of McDonald's with a coffee that was free?? Best thing about midterm week!
We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time. It's miserable and magical.

Wishing I was skiing.
Everyone is hating on Winter in Toronto. I don't know about them, but I biked to school today, January 19, in the sunshine! Maybe a little less hate, please.
Merry Christmas!
