I visited Amsterdam recently and took a little TFIOS tour! I started at the library where John wrote some of the book and then went on a hunt to find the places in the book and got to meet another Nerdfighter in the process!

Some say that the children’s rooms of libraries are an anachronism in a world of mobile screens with books on demand. But I say that while childhood has changed quite a bit, children have not….

As a librarian, we help to teach people how to become self-sufficient on the computer, how to find the answer to patron’s questions (no offence Google, but while you may come back with a million answers, we librarians come back with the right answer), develop graphic designs for advertisement, act as a social media managers, handle reader’s advisory, teach information literacy classes, act as storytellers, teach children. We wear many many caps.

It's been a while

Oh boy it's been a while since my last post. I blame that on class and working 3 jobs. Anyway the other day nearly 100 people got trapped in the basement. By people , I mean old people who don't do stairs. The elevator overheated from too much use. I wonder if they ever got out? Oh well
