According to Haaretz:
Initial investigations by the Israeli police indicate that the gunmen who participated in the October 7 attack did not know in advance about the existence of the party in which 364 people were killed near Re’im in the Gaza Strip.
Investigations also indicate that a warplane took off from the Ramat David base and bombed the militants from the air, and the bombing injured and killed many of the Israelis there.

Two decades ago, we wrote that divestment was a “blunt tool” that affected all citizens of the target nation equally and should be used sparingly. Yet the tactics embodied by BDS have a historical track record; they helped win the liberation of Black South Africans from Apartheid, and have the potential to do the same for Palestinians today. Israel’s current policy pushes Palestinians towards indefinite statelessness, combining ethnonationalist legislation and a continued assault on the sovereignty of the West Bank through illegal settlements that difficults the prospect of a two-state solution; it merits an assertive and unflinching international response. The arguments made against BDS could have been and indeed were once made against South Africa, and we are no longer inclined to police the demands of a people yearning to breathe free.
We do not take this decision lightly. BDS remains a blunt approach, one with the potential to backfire or prompt collateral damage in the form of economic hurt. But the weight of this moment — of Israel’s human rights and international law violations and of Palestine’s cry for freedom — demands this step. As a board, we are proud to finally to finally lend our support to both Palestinian liberation and BDS — and we call on everyone to do the same.

The reason given by Western countries for rejecting Russia's resolution was that it failed to condemn Hamas
Brazil has a similar resolution that they will present to the UNSC soon, which includes condemnation of Hamas' attacks against civilians
It is also said that Brazil has discussed the contents of their resolution with China beforehand
Please share because alot of people think this is a War it’s not
Translation: When settlers use the terms terrorist and terror attack. You have to understand that it means the colonized are resisting. The headline on November 1st 1954… it was not a “terrorist outbreak” but the beginning of the war of liberation.
The newspaper that was posted is a headline from November 1st 1954 that says “sudden terrorists outbreak in Algeria” and then the article begins by talking about “terror attacks”. November 1st 1954 is the official beginning of the Algerian war of liberation. It was not a “terrorist outbreak” it was people fighting to take back their land fighting for freedom and for their rights and dignity.
Whenever the colonized resist whenever the oppressed resist the colonizers and the oppressors call it terrorism and terror attacks.
The right to self determination the right to resist colonialism by all means including armed struggle is a human rights. Stolen freedom is always something you have to take back by force if you’re not willing to understand that you will never understand the oppressed of this world.
absolutely furious at the response of the internet at large to what's happening in palestine. everyone on this fucking website is all for violent revolution until it's palestinians doing it.
i don't have many words right now but i'm taking this opportunity to spread awareness of the general situation and hopefully push back against the tide a little. here are some resources provided by the wonderful people over at @bfpnola.

The level of evil it is to shoot a Palestinian journalist in the head, falsely claim you didn’t do it, and then send the military to attack her funeral, the mourners, and forcefully rip the Palestinian flag off her coffin. It’s monstrous.
ID: Twitter account IMEU “BREAKING: Reports that Israeli police have created a barrier around the Salahiya home, blockading dozens of Palestinians on the inside. Witnesses are reporting screams and cries for help heard from outside the barrier as Israel prevents ambulances and journalists from entering”
“A journalist on the scene reports that Israeli military and police threatened to beat him if he came any closer to the barrier.”
Israeli Occupation forces are currently demolishing the home of the Salahiya family in Sheikh Jarrah, according to Muna El Kurd’s live feed, the Salahyia family is screaming for help after being beaten by the occupation military, more than 200 police cars surround the neighborhood.

I literally keep seeing this happen over and over again but the girl from the video below is not Ukrainian, that’s Ahed Tamimi and she’s a Palestinian girl from Nabi Saleh who is 12 in the images of her confronting an occupation soldier - stop doing this.
x Just yesterday, Palestinian civilians in Jerusalem were celebrating Israa and Miraaj when they were attacked by the Israeli forces. 31 Palestinians were injured and 20 were arrested, most of which are under the age of 15. A special-needs 11 years old girl was shot in the face and had her jaw broken, a typical terrorist for the zionist regime.

It is everyone's responsibility in times like this, when international support is given to Ukraine and rightfully so, to remember others who are identically oppressed yet completely cast into a "controversial conflict" light. If a Ukrainian bombs himself to defend his country New York Post calls him a hero, yet if any other person of colour in a third world country does this the international community doesn't even blink, claiming they don't know enough information to support anyone. For god's sake, when footballers raise the Ukranian flag in a match it's a heroic move but when others raise the palestinian flag they are fined for promoting terrorism. This is not a post to undermine the situation in Ukraine or to question the righteousness to resist invaders, on the contrary. It's a call for anyone reading this to be critical of how each injustice is represented and how right and wrong are manipulated by people in charge for their own good.
