It’s been... a month? Close to that?

I don’t want to do this anymore. I want my wife, our house and our cat. I want my job--hell, I want better than that. I want my old life back when things were simpler, when that damned idiot of a president didn’t fuck things over for everyone. And one last thing? I want snow. And I want to build an igloo with it.

Wow I’ve not written anything on here for a little bit

I went traveling some more. Didn’t do any drawing like I promised I would. I was still adjusting to life on this strange land afloat the surface of Earth. Or at least I think it’s Earth. 

I mentioned this in an earlier entry, but the gravity on this sideways floating continent is really wonky. How wonky one may ask? It has it’s own gravity when you’re walking along on this continent, so if you didn’t know that this landmass was literally beside itself you would probably not notice anything different from Earth’s normal gravity, but the minute you get to the edge closer to the actual earth, you feel it pulling you “downwards”. It’s like that’s where its center doesn’t keep you grounded. If you go to the other side, I think it would be different, but I haven’t gotten to that side of the continent yet, so I wouldn’t know if I’m susceptible to floating away or if the continent pulls me back.

Thankfully I haven’t fallen or floated off to space, or I wouldn’t be here to write in this again

So it seems like I’m the only one up here on this weird little floating continent that I’m on. I haven’t seen anyone else around. Maybe I’m truly alone?

But then why am I here, on a site that has probably been long abandoned, save for old posts?

Oh and those weird porn bots. Gotta love those. Is there even anyone on at this point?

Lookie what I found in my pad! Some old artwork I made when I was much, much younger and the world didn’t quite go to hell.

I’ll admit my art skills haven’t improved all that much, but at least Sketchbook works. Now where did I put that pen...? Oh, there it is! Behind my chamber bed!

Maybe I’ll sketch some more later.

Upon further inspection of my surroundings, I have come to find that I’m in a very, very odd place. I’m definitely on land, but...

And this is very weird

But it’s sideways? And it’s afloat, like a floating island, but much bigger. Almost like a small continent or whatever. The gravity is also wonky here, as I’m grounded here as if I were on Earth. Nothing moved to the side, in spite of that. I’m sure if I made one move, it would probably be fatal and I would fall to my death.

Don’t know if she would like that...

Getting back to the floaty piece of land.

There’s a small forest behind me, a lake or two not far from here, and a grassy meadow close by with a few hills. Further on the other side of the forest is a small mountain--I guess that’s where I’m getting my water from, seeing as the lakes don’t look like they’ve dried once while being up here, above the clouds.

A few animals skitter about, too. Rabbits, mice, birds, some deer. So far there are no predators. I must be the only apex predator for miles here. Or maybe they’re hiding? I would think that with all of these herbivores living here, this place would be a little more barren, but lo and behold, there are lots of plants growing and they don’t seem to lose their food supply. It doesn’t seem like they’ve grown much in population either. But that’s fine with me, I’ve still got my old food stores, which miraculously survived. Good old science, finding a way to keep people fed with so little.

If only that science had saved Earth.

Nightly thoughts:

God I’m tired, but I did find that I had one log that was spared, and that my pad updated it’s time and date.

I left around July 15th, 2049, and it looks like I’ve been gone for...

100 years? DAMN

But then that means... well shit. Looks like everything went to hell after I left. 

Strangely enough, I don’t look a day older. As a matter of fact, I look like I was when I was in my 20′s, like my age was reversed. Maybe the sleep chamber did something impossible and reversed aged me to that point? I guess I’m a 155 year old Gen Y’er with eternal youth. Because SCIENCE

How long have I been up here? It’s been so long that I can’t remember. I remember that there was a terrible heat wave. It killed a lot of people, and proceeded to kill more. I was then placed in a sleep chamber and sent to god knows where. The next thing I knew? I was here. 

It looks like all of my logs from years back were erased when I was sent here. Or was it by accident that I ended up here in the first place? I’m surprised I can still get into the network after all this time--I didn’t even think it would work as I seem to be the only one left...
