First off, I wish everyone a Belated Merry Christmas!
2017 seemed to go by so quickly, and yet it was filled with many milestones and artistic achievements. In just one year, perhaps even less than that, I was able to meet some short terms goals I had been putting off for years. I was able to start a consistent drawing regime, which I didn't have before, produce at least 1 full illustration a week, which I've been doing, and finally start getting my story ideas and original characters off the ground instead of keeping them only in my mind. It feels so good to finally be sharing some of this stuff with you guys after such a long time. Whether it was drawing more original content, creating new characters like Vivian or Ena, joining multiple social media sites and getting used to those mediums for the first time, or learning something new in general, 2017 was definitely a busy but productive year for me, and I've steadily been making improvements and challenging myself. I'm really looking forward to what I can achieve and build on in 2018! There's nowhere to go but up!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words, and show of support across all the social media sites I post on! My art has been going through different evolutions, themes, and styles, that some people may not be sure what it is, or where it's going, and those sometimes I don't know myself, I appreciate the loyalty. Ā I've always been blessed to have at least a small handful of friends to talk to, that had a listening ear about art or whatever I wanted or needed to talk about, and that has been invaluable to me, and I greatly value and appreciate that!I don't think any amount of improvement would have felt like a victory if I didn't have anyone to share my art with, so to all my art followers: thank you for sticking around (especially for those that have been around the longest), and welcome to all new-comers! Ā I hope we're able to grow together!
Joe Cocker definitely had it right with his song "With A Little Help From My Friends!", so I'll leave this post and 2017 on that note.
