The Strokes setlist - 5/13/19 @ The Wiltern in Los Angeles
The Voidz - QYURRYUS - Wiltern Theater, Los Angeles - February 2, 2019
Front and center for Arctic Monkeys on Friday night. Fantastic show.
Johnny Marr and Eddie Vedder - There is a Light that Never Goes Out (The Smiths cover)
Ohana Fest was such an amazing experience from start to finish this year, but this was my personal highlight. So damn good.
So a professional, educated, intelligent woman shares her story of sexual assault. If lying, she has everything to lose - personally, professionally, and legally. She takes and passes a polygraph. We have heard countless times about the reasons why victims of sexual assault often fail to come forward for many years, about the damaging consequences that such assaults have on a person’s mental well being, about the fact that a majority of such cases go unreported forever. Yet a majority of Republicans refuse to believe her?
This is the grossest evidence to date that the political system in our country needs a major overhaul. We have come to a point where party interests take priority over even basic human decency. Is this really what the United States is about?
Too many people get so brainwashed by the rules that society teaches them that they don't even consider the fact that many rules are outdated, senseless, & more harmful than good. Don't let ideas that some men came up with decades ago blur your own judgment of right & wrong.
I’ve been to literally hundreds of shows in my life but I’m not sure any have been as cathartic as Arcade Fire last night at the Greek. They played Funeral in its entirety for the first time ever (!) and pretty much every other track I could have hoped to hear. I love this band so much.
I’ll never understand people who quickly admit to the unhappiness they feel with their life situation but are still unwilling to do anything to change it. Change very rarely comes by random chance. If you are not willing to instigate change, you are most likely dooming yourself to permanent stagnation.
One of the best concerts I have ever attended. 3 hours of Pearl Jam = pure bliss.
The Growlers setlist @ The Echo in Los Angeles, CA, 8/1/18
My best friend turned 8 years old last week. I can’t even remember what life was like before him.
Surprise/free Foster the People show at El Cid in Los Angeles last night.
The world could really use a Rage Against the Machine revival right now. What better place than here? What better time than now?
So today I saw that one of my ex-students/athletes won his first ever half marathon. I remember when this kid was a gangly 16-year-old with a ton of talent who had never given a thought to running. The first time I had him train for a 3-mile-race he nearly puked. Today he ran faster than I ever have or will ever be able to. Goes to show that it never hurts to encourage somebody to try new things and explore their talents.
Take these pills
Lets get drunk
At the cemetery
It sounds like fun
We can dance
On the graves
Till our bodies
Melt away.

I’m not a big wrestling fan personally, but I know John is, and this is just extremely cool.
