also, all asks are allowed! i try my best with them and tend to refuse very few
- theres a big difference between aboriginal australians and early european settlers (prisoners exiled from england) so im gonna try for tips for both. sometimes they are often combined in the culture for most people but i’m separating it more for clarity
European decended Australian
- australian diets are very interesting, i’d check out some types of specific foods (fairy bread is my favorite i love it for dessert)
- typically an interesting mix of american and english cultures with some of their own unique culture
- the imbestigators i feel portrays australian culture around children well
- research aussie slang and watch videos to try to replicate the accent (if you so desire)
- most aboriginal people have darker skin, keep that in mind and be respectful!
- the aboriginal people were some of the first peoples to have a word for transgender and be accepting about it as a community
- you could learn aboriginal symbols and memorise them
- their culture is very rooted in storytelling, learning their significant cultural stories as well as coming up with your own are good ways to connect
- they have culturally significant paint that goes along with rituals (i didn’t find much info on this so it may need more specialised research)
- they also have very cool pointillism style tattoos tied in with their culture
