People say 12 "ruined" TMNT yet it's still one of the best versions to half of the fans today and it's going strong

With Rise people say that "ruined" the franchise

No TMNT media has "ruined" the franchise I remember when people said it about the Bay movies and 07 movie yet they are becoming just as popular too

This is why TMNT fans can't have nice things and why projects get cancelled because people will automatically react negatively towards it

I haven't tried out Mayhem or Tales because the animation for Mayhem hurts my vision if it didn't I would be watching it

People saying "it will ruin the franchise" without giving it a chance is why TMNT is the way it is

Short answer (over the fourth wall since they’re going to answer canonically): they’re still good people, but Hell kind of forces everyone to get their hands dirty in one way or another.

More clear answer here: Mikey doesn’t like hurting others, neither physically nor emotionally (even though sometimes it’s required). Donnie eventually does, but it’ll be revealed in the AO3 soon enough 👀. Raph is violent with anger issues, mostly inspired personality wise by Raph 2012, so you can imagine the answer. As for Leo, he does do that, but only to who deserves it in his judgment!
