Jughead angsting over having to break the news to her and then has to comfort her afterwards.

Jughead crashing with Veronica because he can’t face going home.

Angry Jeronica sitting together at lunch because their routines are in tatters and they just need someone who understands.

Veronica agrees to help Jughead with his latest obsession because she’s worried for him and she needs a distraction.

Jeronica solve crime together. (Veronica already has it figured out but she pretends not to so Jug can make his little crime collages.)

Veronica invites Jughead to New York for the summer, she inspires him to get better at writing, gets him his book deal, and they stay good friends through the time jump.

Jughead realizes Veronica is the love of his life and they never return to Riverdale.

The question was aimed behind him, eyes trained sightlessly forward.

“New York? Logistics?”

Silence hung at his back.

He swallowed, fingers flexing a little around the doorknob.

He knew it was shitty timing, that she was defensive and rattled from waking up to all this, but he was tired of having to guess. Tired of blinkingly emerging from interactions without knowing where they stood, a guitar string that was always a little loose, making every song he tried to play a little off-key.

His jaw clicked at the lack of response.

“Veronica.”

“I was drunk, Jughead,” came the stiff reply, and his eyes fell shut. “So were you.”

Not that drunk.

It slid down his spine like a blade.

What do you think a Jeronica amnesia story-line would entail?

oooh i feel like this would be a great anastasia™ au y'kno with veronica being the lost princess and jug being the pretentious con artist but if you mean like on riverdale specifically

i'd want jughead to be the one to lose his memories and b/a try to use that to their advantage to get him to forgive them for their "transgression" but veronica steps in and she's basically like here's the tea..

i'd want scenes of jughead just assuming v is his ex/current gf because she's very ~emily strange~ and CLEARLY his type

id want them to kiss in the heat of the moment and have him say something like "you sure we haven't done that before?" and when veronica responds "not like that." all breathy, jug replies "you sure we didn't want to?"

i'd want her to be the one to try to jog his memory with films and literature and food and even pictures of the gang and maaaybe he makes a sly comment about the way he's looking at her in some of the photos

and then when he finally gets his memory back, because this is riverdale after all, i'd want him to make some grand speech to her about how memory or not she has always been this force in his life and the only thing losing his memory accomplished was getting him to realize his true feelings towards her without fear or guilt of hurting the others

and then, with all his memories in tact and the intensity of his confession in the air, they finally fuck.
