The camera activates to the view of Pinkie Pie approaching Rarity nervously. "Rarity? There's something I need to talk to-"

"I already know, darling."

The camera zooms in on Pinkie's baffled expression, "Eh?"

"Pinkie, you're not exactly the most subtle of ponies. Everyone could tell something was bothering you, even Daisuke. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was on your mind."

"O-oh. So..."

"Darling, if you need some space all you need do is ask. Even if you no longer wish to be my paramour, I will understand. You are, after all, my friend first and foremost."

Pinkie's expression relaxes into one of pure relief. "Oh you have NO idea how relieved I am right now! I don't really think romance in general is my thing. I mean, trying to make one pony happy over everyone else? I just couldn't handle it! Yesiree, Pinkie is meant to be free! Ooh! I should go tell the others!" Before Rarity can get so much as a word in, Pinkie is off.

*Sigh* "Pinkie is as energetic as ever I see. But... No, no this is for the best! Control yourself Rarity! A Maid of Heart of all ponies should be able to deal with her own emotions!" And with that, Rarity trots off, leaving the spritebot behind, where it deactivates.

PP Hey, uh, Skyle? You wouldn't happen to have any of that cosmic wisdom for me, would ya?

~ I’m gonna be straight with you here. I am not a relationship guru, or anything even remotely approaching one. I can’t tell you any more than what anyone else would: clear communication is key in any relationship. Two things that are absolutely essential to convey in this particular situation are that you do care about her and don’t want to see her upset, but that you don’t want the same kind of relationship she does.

~ Another important thing to keep in mind is that Rarity is very perceptive. She’s probably already noticed the stress you’re feeling and might even be beating herself up over it because she thinks it’s her fault, so you’re going to need to be very tactful when you bring this up. I’d recommend waiting for a quiet, private moment, but try not to make it obvious you’re looking for one.

~ Also, talk to your other friends, make sure they know what’s going on so they can be ready to support Rarity if she needs it.

The camera activates, centered on a rather nervous looking Pinkie Pie. She shuffles her hooves a bit before speaking, "Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who still remembers this is a thing. So... Is-is it okay for someone else's happiness to come at the expense of your own? I've been thinking about it and... I don't love Rarity the same way she loves me. I love all my friends, but that's the problem! I just can't think of Rarity as anything but one of my friends! But Rarity, she's at her happiest when I'm around and even seems kinda depressed when I'm not. I think that, if I broke up with her? It would crush her. So what should I do? Make myself happy at the expense of Rarity? Or keep Rarity happy at my own expense? Please. I can't decide on my own."

The feed opens to the Empress wearing a thousand-yard stare. After a few seconds, she finds within her the resolve to speak, "I have never been so glad that I'm an only child in my universe. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go scream into a pillow for a while." And with that, she trots off, and the sound of muffled screaming can be heard before the camera cuts off.

Ruby: Well, I can’t really end the Trance immediately, as part of this demonstration mode, so I guess it shouldn’t be too much trouble.

"Hehehe," Dawn chuckles darkly. "I know how you can normally just end the contract whenever you want to, but my Origin fixed that little problem. Now the contract only ends when we both state that we want it to. Isn't that a lot more fair, Ru-by-chan?~"

Ruby: Ufufufufu~! A smart choice! We shall begin Trance at once! But before that, would you mind telling me your name?

“Sure,” As the girl speaks, a Yin-Yang symbol appears underneath her feet. “My name is Dawn Glow, and my Origin is Balance! The contract is made, so we’re both in this until we both want out. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be very balanced would it? Hahaha… AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, that was a good one! Mom would be proud.”

A bright flash of light enveloped the two as Ruby activated the Trance and proceeeded to turn Dawn Glow into a magical girl. It then dispersed in all directions, and the pair emerged as a full-fledged one.

As this happens, the symbol flares, and there's a sound like a lock closing. "Did you hear that? The contract isn't just formed, it's locked. And it needs both of our keys."

“A contract? This won’t involve my soul, will it?”

Dawn reaches out, and grasps Ruby firmly in her hand.

A young human(?) girl with black and navy blue hair walks the streets of Fuyuki city. She looks around, seemingly amazed by the place.

“Wow! So this is Fuyuki City! I’m so glad I figured out that- huh?”

As she speaks, she becomes distracted by a rather odd sight: two sticks floating in the air.

“Call me crazy, but I don’t think that’s normal… Dark Veil.

As she whispers the incantation, shadows swirl around her, making her difficult to see if you’re not looking for her. She then walks towards the odd duo, ducking around buildings whenever they turn towards her… but she’s being kind of noisy, and her spell doesn’t block sound.

When the Kaleido-stick bumps into her, Dawn lets out a quick noise of surprise, before the light that was absorbed by her spell is released in one big, “Blinding Flash"!

Dawn rubs the spots out of her eyes, and mutters something about sunglasses. Then she remembers her stalkee and reason for her surprise.

“Oh! I’m sorry, I kind of have no control over that ability. Are you alright?"

Once they leave the room Amythest walks onscreen and rolls her eyes.

A Honestly. Dawn should know that Fluttershy has Black feelings for Twilight, not Red.
