So at least half the season (and probably all of it, because i doubt they would bunch them all up like this if there were other types of episode) is just given over to gimmicks and like...

I enjoy a nice piece of candy every so often. But...where's the food?

I’m getting to a point where I prefer Star Trek in any other media except the screen. I like SNW but I just think it’s not hitting its potential, unfortunately. Maybe when this and SFA are done, a hiatus would be best. I know they announced a movie but I doubt that’s ever happening.

As a child, I was never able to tell the difference between “male bonding” and vicious bullying.

Maybe this was because I was a girl, but I suspect that it may have been because there’s not actually any difference between male bonding and vicious bullying, and parents and teachers are just too willing to turn a blind eye to it.

As a child, I was bullied by another child. I complained to the teachers like I was supposed to, in accordance with the zero tolerance policy. The teachers informed me that he probably just wanted to be friends, and they arranged some one on one time between me and my bully to ensure he had unfettered access to me. They told me that this would continue happening until we “became friends” (teaming up to bully others).

The teachers and parents also helped me get physically dragged into situations that were physically painful to me and prevented me from leaving them.

It sure is weird how so many people report having no friends during elementary school and go into adulthood poorly socialized. Probably no reason for it.
