a lot of boobie artists are really not very good at drawing how breasts actually lay when one is bare chested so it always looks like their nudie gals are wearing invisible bras. FAKE FANS!

Crazy unresolved sexual tension is more fun to write than "normal sex" to me. What is sex? Some naked bullshit. I want to see them writhing in their self made purgatories. THAT'S horny
i am not immune to a well choreographed fight scene with a fun song in the background
The Straw Hats separated in chapter 513, so not quite 100 chapters ago, but it was a separation that lasted two full years real time (and eventually in-comic time too, I suppose). The effect of seeing them here isn't quite the same if you're binging these chapters today, just know it was agonizing to wait through week to week.

Sanji !!
that one frame of sanji that shows both his eyes but with correct brows
"ah... my hands... these seemed important..."
uhhhh vinsmoke mutation bullshit that takes over sanji and zoro has to stop him and sanji snaps back a bit too late
This art is so beautiful and I hate it (affectionate). I'm using this as inspo to write another fic where Zoro has to follow through on their death pact.

Tbh there is an overabundance of media about a nonhuman creature's deep desire and journey to become human, and so very few of the opposite
Many of those movies/shows are very good and I like them but the whole time I'm feeling like it's tragic in a way. The thought of a creature giving up its otherness to assimilate into humanity is really fuckin sad to me. Or a human getting the chance to be something else freaking out and rejecting it.
Just makes me feel all the more alienated, y'know. Like "damn why don't I relate to this allegedly universal enthusiasm for being human" and "why is the desire to be anything else always wrong"
I want more stuff where a human chooses to stop being human, and this is portrayed as a reasonable choice, and the person is happy as a result.
Luffy counting the Straw Hats on his fingers is a really strong visual on its own, but I find it especially poignant because one of the last things Luffy saw before Ace died was his blood on his hands, an image that's haunted him ever since he regained consciousness
Luffy's hands go from being a constant reminder of what he lost to a symbol of what he has left

teenage girls in fiction: hes so cute i wanna slow dance with him at prom :3 hehe
real teenage girls: imagine if he got injured and i had to tend to his wounds and i could watch him seize up a bit as i disinfect them and in the haze of fever he sees me as an angel
Should the subject of slavery be a bigger deal than it actually is in the setting? Like, if Arabasta or Water 7 are ostensibly obedient to the World Government would they have to tolerate slave merchants from the CDs?
in theory, only a very limited population can be slaves, as seen by the bidding list at Sabaody
So in theory, places like Alabasta and Water 7 could use the slave trade to get rid of their criminals, but ostensibly it’s a practice that’s illegal and most places don’t know that it still exists. Not even the more worldly Straw Hats who keep up with the news knew about it until they actually got to Sabaody (except maybe Robin, and even then it’s not clear). Presumably any leaders who frequent Mariejois for the Reverie would know, but that only has 50 seats and there are more than 250 nations in the WG. Despite how many slaves the Celestial Dragons kill, they’re really only supplying labor for 19 families and one island. Other rich people were seen at the auction house at Sabaody, but you’d have to guess that’s severely limited by the hazardous travel of the Grand Line. The use of slaves just isn’t a thing we see much outside the 1% of the 1% richest people in the world.
The trick the WG uses to circumvent its own laws is to manufacture criminals to provide slave labor. This is really easy for them to do when the biggest court system in the world on Enies Lobby is a kangaroo court where a person is presumed guilty just by being sent to the island. Most get funneled to Impel Down, but I’m sure the Celestial Dragons get their fair share, too.
