Why do you think people love idols and their stories so much? I genuinely couldn’t tell you. I think it’s probably because they’re presented as boyfriends and are marketed so specifically that they seem obtainable in an unobtainable way

What would you do if you met your bias in real life? If the situation warrented it i would just say hi and that i’m proud of them

Is there a need for reform in the industry? Yes for sure but if i listed out everything that needed to be changed, we would be here all day

If you could be a K-pop star, would you? Absolutely not. I would get flames considering i cannot sing or dance and i am white lol

What would you do if you found out that Jaehyun had read You May Regret This? Tbh i would be slightly embarrassed just because i could write it better now but i don’t think it was a bad story

Why did you choose to write for a real person vs. a fictional one? The convenience of it. Also at the time i started, i was just… really into kpop so it was easy

Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? I like a good combo. Life is never completely fluffy or totally angsty. It’s good to have a balance to make it all seem more realistic and immersive

Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? x reader right now but when i write for haikyuu, it’ll be ships

Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? I think it was just… there and available. Ao3 is fun but there’s not a lot of chances or opportunities for interaction so i decided to go back to the hellsite

What inspires you to write? Oh goodness, anything and everything. Oftentimes it’s music. I hear a song and i’m immediately like i need a story for this asap

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? Mafia and crime. It’s such a guilty pleasure of mine

What do you hope your readers take away from your work? I just want it to be a temporary escape and provide at least some form of enjoyment

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? Read more or watch anime just because both of those are enjoyable things for me but can also give me the inspiration to create again

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? you may regret this is literally my baby. It’s not my favorite, but i think taeyong’s spin off story, a way out, is because it's everything i wanted for ymrt, i just didn’t have the same skills at the time. Another favorite of mine is hanakotoba because it’s literally my heart and soul in a story and i’ll always have that deep personal connection to it. My most successful is white knuckle tight which is truly still fascinating for me because it was an idea i got on a random tuesday during christmas break and i just ran with it. I think it’s an alright story but it’s far from my favorite. I lack the emotional attachment that i have to other pieces.

Who is your favorite person to write about? taeyong. Writing him is almost like second nature to me. His character is always the easiest for me to construct and i think people will find he’s the most consistent character throughout stories. There’s not as much variation.

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? Yes and no. i think writing kpop fanfiction is much more similar to original prose because you don’t have a world to build around. You only have a person. In fact, you don’t even have that. You only have an idea of a person to construct into a character. I think the only difference is that you can get away with a lot more unreasonable plot lines.

What do you think makes a good story? Good characters and enough emotion to create an attachment to the plot. I want to care about what’s happening and the best way to do that is by leading me to some sort of connection to the characters

What is your writing process like? Very chaotic and sporadic. I’ll come up with ideas at 3 am, make a random note about it, and then do my best to bring it to life when i’m actually awake. I don’t plan. I just have snippets of scenes i would like to include. So much of it is just writing whatever comes to mind while im writing it

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? I’m doing so with one right now, though 8-% of it is getting scrapped and changed. There’s nothing wrong with that though. Having good bones is what matters and i think this story has exactly that

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand? I love enemies to loves if it’s done right. Exes to lovers is another classic. Mafia is a given. Hanahaki and soulmates always does something to my heart. I can’t stand hybrid and a/b/o fics idk why i just have never been able to get into them. Yandere like tropes are also really hard to do right so i usually avoid those as well

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? It means a lot. I’m sure any writer can tell you that but it’s truly the reason i still write fanfic and haven’t just given up and written only original prose.

What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)? Timing. It’s always about which member is really getting to people at the moment and which trope is gaining traction. 85% of writing on tumblr is kind of just dumb luck

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? Yes. i think it just comes from lack of understanding

Do you think art can be a medium for change? Without a doubt. Art pieces as well as writings have made significant impacts in my life in a variety of ways. It’s a medium of awareness and recognition

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? Not really because i kind of just do whatever the fuck i want (sorry for my language lol) but i usually come up with totally self indulgent ideas and then just do it. 

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times? No… not yet. I expected someone to with shattered memories but it seemed to do and say what i wanted to

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr? My roommates. My friends know i write they just don’t know what

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? I’m doing my best and i wish i could put stories out more often 

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there? Just go for it. You have to try if you want to see any sort of results. Plus these people don’t know you so what’s the risk

Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr? nah

Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey? Kai, jewel, and abbey for sure. They were some of my closest mutuals when my blog really started to take off

If you could do one activity with your ult, what would it be? 

Bake a cake, idk why I just feel like it.

Where do you think the line between fantasy and reality should be drawn? 

Once you forget that you, as a writer, are just using someone's name and image, and not their real persona, I think that’s when you should take a step back, a deep breath and maybe take a break from writing. At the end, fanfiction is an excuse to write the story that’s in your mind, the member/idol you use in your stories is just the image of it! Not the real person, just remember that! 

What would you do if you met your bias in real life?

I honestly have no idea. Maybe look for a translator because I doubt his ass knows English.

If you could be a K-pop star, would you? 

I wouldn’t.

What would you do if you found out the cast of your Frathouse series had read their respective chapters? 

I would honestly ask them if they understood the messages I was trying to get the readers to understand about life and how things don’t go our way most of the time. Maybe ask them if they’ve felt identified with any of the characters, what they think about the plot and stuff. 

Why did you choose to write for a real person vs. a fictional one? 

Writing for a real person is easier in order to imagine that character in your mind. Also, it is easier to get your work to be read on the platforms if you write for someone who already has a fandom.

Probably read people’s minds. I think that would help me a lot more than flying and such haha.

The renaissance era in Italy! I’m madly, deeply, hopelessly in love with all of the art that was created in that period.

No, I believe all of my actions have taken me where I am now, and have also taught me who I am. I don’t know if restarting my life would be a good idea, I'm very proud of what I've achieved until now!

Fun fact about yourself that not everyone would know? 

When I was three I was into a car accident with my parents. I was sleeping in the backseat, the car crashed, it did a few flips but I did not wake up. Like, my ass kept sleeping even after that as if nothing had happened, i think that explains my chill levels nowadays. 

When did you post your first piece? 

I think during the quarantine? April? 

Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? 

I mostly write ANGST! The reason behind it is because I find myself over analyzing my characters and giving them all kinds of problems and obstacles before they reach their goal in the story. I’ve been told several times by my readers that they’ve cried while reading, which is probably the best feedback I’ve ever gotten. 

Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? 

Member x reader, but I have a few hidden fics that have an OC! Maybe I’ll post them someday!

Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? 

Tumblr is very very different from all the other social media platforms out there. I tried writing for AO3 but i did not like the layout, and the fact that you couldn’t actually talk with your readers. The same happened with Wattpad, it seemed like there wasn’t any direct connection with your readers. On the other hand, i can use tumblr to post my writing, but also to get to know my readers! I get to know what they like to read, what they mostly look for in the site as fic readers and they also find it easier to give feedback to someone who've spoken to them before. It feels closer. 

What inspires you to write? 

This is a tricky question for me, because nothing and everything inspires me. It could be a simple quote told by my friends, it could be a story I randomly remember at 3 AM. It could be little kids playing in the park. I cannot tell that something specific inspires me to write. 

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? 

Lately I’ve written mostly college au’s, but I hope to enter more into the drama/thriller world for my next work!

What do you hope your readers take away from your work? 

As someone who loves leaving hidden messages into my stories, I hope my readers take a lesson from them. I truly believe that every story, if it’s well written, has a deep secret message that only those who need to hear it, will hear it. So, if you’re one of my readers, and you’ve felt as if I’ve opened your eyes on some matter with one of my stories, then that’s enough for me to be content!

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? 

I just let it be. I do not force myself to write. Like, months ago, I remember I pressured myself to write because I felt like people would stop supporting me and my work if I didn't update like weekly or so. But with time I found out that, if your readers really love your work will wait for you to be able to write again, it doesn't matter if it's weeks or months. 

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? 

My favourite for now is the frat house series, and it’s also my most successful work. Every story on the series has a meaning for me, it’s not just a college au where the member and the oc/reader fall in love and then live happily ever after. I believe the stories don’t focus so much on the romantic relationship between the characters, but mostly on the plot and message on the story. “The shadow” talks about someone who feels like they have lost all kinds of creativity and suddenly feels lost in life. “The legend” is a story about lies just to reach the top, and the consequent regrets of it. “The jerk” tells the story of someone’s mistakes, and how those mistakes come back to you in life, following you until they punish you for everything you’ve done wrong. “The heartbreaker” narrates the story of someone who has been so hurt in life, that the feeling of love feels forbidden for them, that’s why they keep hurting other people unintentionally. “The trust fund baby” just shows you how life looks from two whole different perspectives and how they grow up as persons who have learned from their mistakes. “The bro” just gives you a peek inside of two childhood friends who clearly cannot understand what love is, and why they feel it. And the last one I’ve written for now, “the Einstein” is a story about someone who would give anything just to be successful in life, even if that means sacrificing someone’s pure love.

Who is your favorite person to write about?

I think it’s easy for me to write about any person since the characteristics of the fic will be completely made up by me. I only take their image and name, after all.

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? 

I think the only difference you can find is that one of your characters already has a face in your mind. But, if I were to change all the names of my stories, I believe there wouldn't be any big difference from a novel. 

What do you think makes a good story? 

The plot twists! If there aren't any plot twists, I believe the story turns out a bit boring. 

What is your writing process like? 

I start by giving the oc/reader a goal for the story, or the member some kind of goal. They clearly don’t know how to achieve it, so while I write I take my time into making them suffer through the whole story until they find a way to achieve what they want to do. The characters are the ones that lead the story, I just write down what they want to do, and then give them obstacles! The only thing I struggle is with the ending, I believe I have the worst endings,

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? 

Yes I would.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? 

It means absolutely everything! When you put so much effort and time into writing a 20k story, having people tell you what they think is the only thing you have in your mind the day you post it.

Maybe coming up with a great plot?

Yes I do. 

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? 

I’ve felt that way, and I have only one thing to say here: if you ever feel like that, stop writing. It won't come out good. You will probably end up hating the story and it won’t be successful. Write to satisfy what you need to be satisfied, write to take out all of your emotions with words. 

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times? 

Not really, which makes me happy!

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr? 

Nope.

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? 

Please don’t stop supporting tumblr writers! We do this with all of our love for writing, and we do this thinking that you guys will give us some kind of feedback. I appreciate my followers with all of my heart, since they’re the ones who make me believe I'm actually good at what I do. 

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there? 

Just write! Every writer out there has started with something shitty, I promise you. I feel ashamed of my first works, they are inconsistent and boring and just plain. Like, it’s just terrible. And you’ll be there too, but don’t be scared!! Practice makes perfect, you’ll feel how you slowly start changing your style until you finally find a way that's comfortable for you and lets you write what you really have in your mind. Also, don’t compare yourself to other writers! Everyone has a totally different style and technique, someone's success with a style of writing doesn't mean you’ll be just as good as them! Be original! 

Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr? 

When I get hate asks, maybe.

If you could do one activity with your ult, what would it be? 

Trip to paris, jimin?

Why do you think people love idols and their stories so much? 

Because their struggles pull at the heartstrings and they are such lovable people. I mean, their companies advertise the “gf/bf experience” so stories written about them only feed more into the y/n experience lol

What would you do if you met your bias in real life? 

I would try very hard to contain my excessive usage of “omg” whenever I freak out. Probably cry, depends who I’m meeting. I just want to give them a big big hug and tell them all kinds of gushy mushy things <3

Is there a need for reform in the industry? 

Most definitely. The one thing that always bothered me the most was intense dieting before promotions. And overall, the mistreatment of idols like they’re treated as robots and lack of protection from media and saesangs. 

If you could be a K-pop star, would you? 

I have no current goals and aspirations for a career so yea I would tbh lol 

What would you do if you found out that all the J’s had read To All the J’s I Loved Before? 

THIS IS ODDLY SPECIFIC LOLOL first. I would cry and scramble to find a way to delete myself off the face of this planet. second. Once I come to my senses that it’s not that big of a deal, judging by their reaction, I’d either be flattered or embarrassed. But hey! I managed to get their attention right? Why did you choose to write for a real person vs. a fictional one? 

I get emotionally attached to real life people more than I do fictional unfortunately *sighs heavily*

I’ve actually been writing for a long time now and I’ve been on several different platforms haha, Tumblr has the best reader and writer engagement!

What inspires you to write? 

This is a tough question to answer but I want to say I get my inspirations from songs as of recently

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? 

I love strangers to lovers, idk it’s something about ‘first meetings’ are always a fun scene to write. 

What do you hope your readers take away from your work? 

It’s the simple things that can have you falling in love with life :) details are important! Everything a writer adds into their work is usually intentional !!

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? 

I just stare at a blank doc or I don’t touch my wips for a very long period of time I'm the worst lol 

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? 

My personal favorite is always going to be Just A Star and i never shut up about how much it means to me lmaoo but it’s because it shows my growth as a storyteller/narration and genuinely the longest piece of fic I’ve written in under a week. It’s a very intimate piece of work :) my most successful are through the lens & my ridin club series!

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? 

Nah I think fanfiction is an original form of work, it’s just based around a universe or characters

What do you think makes a good story? 

Character dimension/development!

What is your writing process like? 

A genre/troupe and a title. I loosely base what I want to write on a catchy title LOL and then I make a banner and a short description and then I build a story from that.

I love loveee reading mafia au’s ! i’m not really into coffee shop au’s/social media au’s/idol au lol

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? 

Wow so much like from here to the moon. It means so much to me as a writer because it’s so motivating to get reblogs and comments in tags or an ask or a reply/reblog with reply. It’s everything to a writer and i say every time to leave feedback regardless of it being constructive or positive! I’m always improving as a writer and I THRIVE off of affirmations tbh lol so pls praise me or help me be better :) i want to know if my writing impacted you in someway or form so receiving engagement is like similar to opening a present on your birthday <3

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? 

Yeah lol because what people don’t understand is that fanfiction is still a story that is the same as a book you read from the shelf, but with a muse or in an alternate dimension. It’s just a story bro LOL

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? 

I would say that a lot of my writing now as been for my readers and I think it’s okay, I don’t have the time right now to work on anything I want to personal indulge myself in

Lol yeah I write very flowery and vague sometimes so I get it

Yes, author Xuxi and I are best friends in real life! A lot of my own close friends know I write ff and they’re very supportive about it. They don’t read my writings because well, they’re not into that part of the fandom/aren’t into kpop! But they know that it’s a craft and they respect what I write. 

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? 

Don’t be shy to engage with me! I’ve notice no one really engages with us and I can’t tell if it’s because we’re lame or come off as not friendly ):

Honestly just go for it, write and post to your heart desires and you’ll begin to realize the more you love it, the more it will translate into your work.

Regret is a strong word haha I just feel like I can’t keep up at times

Because they are so passionate and so full of life. So full of drive. We admire them because we want to have that.

Where do you think the line between fantasy and reality should be drawn?

Very firmly. Do. Not. Get. It. Twisted. You do not know these idols personal lives, you will never be with them, and you should never ever put your fantasies on to them. Keep it logical or get out of the fandom.

What would you do if you met your bias in real life?

Scream. No, kidding. I wouldn’t want to scare them. I’d be extremely reserved and calm. I’d just say “Thank you for saving my life, I hope you are very happy and know you are so loved.” And judging from the response either bow in respect or simply walk away.

Yeah. I am not educated enough to go into detail, but yes.

Chaotic. I’m still getting it down. Lately, I’ve been jotting down ideas in a journal, then in my writing server. Doing more research, then I start writing.

Technically, but not really. Some of these fanfic authors should be getting paid millions, ya hear.

Yes!

It means a lot, I love hearing feedback and what others things. But at the end of the day I write for me and my passion. So, even if a story gets no feedback and I love it.. Sorry, expect updates yall!

Yes. Very. But we can be just as good as paid authors, so everyone judging can kiss my ass.

Yes. Art is strong and empowering. Very. Artists are very critical to our world.

Only when I do requests am I really writing for “someone”, but even then, I am still writing because I love it. So yes and no.

Just write. Don’t try to be good. Don’t worry about being bad. Just write the stories in your heart. The rest will come. Stay devoted, stay focused on your studies and IRL life. But when you have the time, use writing as a safe place. Write for you and nobody else and that is how you will one day become an amazing author.

Where do you think the line between fantasy and reality should be drawn? If you really think that your k-pop boy will date you and/or get mad when dating news are released (cough cough, Chen, Baekhyun, Taeyeon), then I think it’s time to distance yourself from the fandom culture.

What would you do if you met your bias in real life? At first I would freak out, but then I would remember that they’re a normal person, just like me, and I would relax. I would still cry tho.

Is there a need for reform in the industry? There are so many things that need to be taken care of… for example, stop bullying idols for the stupidest things! Lia and Jennie aren’t lazy! Chen shouldn’t be kicked out from EXO just because he has a wife and a daughter! If anything we should be happy because he’s happy. Sulli and Hara’s lives should have lasted longer, but people dragged these women until their mental health was destroyed. However, I haven’t seen a bad word directed towards Seungri and his friends.

Just keep going and make sure you have fun!

Why do you think people love idols and their stories so much?: Idols are in the position where everyone is watching and judging 24/7 and yet they still share so much of their personal journey with fans. Some idols are just really down to earth and transparent so they are easy to connect with and for me personally, it’s very endearing being so open. Most of them are just really likable people and so they translate to likable characters and kpop fans really engage with the story when they’re picturing them.

Where do you think the line between fantasy and reality should be drawn?: Way before the line gets blurred. Idols in stories are characters and nothing more. They are real people and they deserve respect and privacy. They are also allowed to date and fall in love and do all the normal things humans do. Don’t be weird in front of your kpop boys&girls, folks. 

What would you do if you met your bias in real life?: I’d probably be myself a little too much and say something stupid like, “Yooooooo, what’s good?” and dap it up like a dude bc I’m way too casual irl situations. 

Is there a need for reform in the industry?: YES. Idols are treated like products as if they live and breathe for their fans only. Dating bans? Social media restrictions? They are so heavily supervised by their management. It’s really refreshing to see idols have a little freedom to be themselves and I’d love to see more of it. 

If you could be a K-pop star, would you?: No, thanks. I cannot sing or dance and I like saying inappropriate things at any given moment without getting in trouble. 

What would you do if you found out that [insert idol here] had read [this] fic about them?: If there was no smut, I probably wouldn’t care (as long as they weren’t upset). If there IS smut…..Ha..hahah.hahaha…..GOTTA BLAST! (sir, I made sure your character was well endowed and knew what he was doing, I promise)

Why did you choose to write for a real person vs. a fictional one?: I hadn’t actually intended to write for idols when I got into kpop. I knew I wanted to practice writing with short stories and knew I would receive more feedback initially if I were writing fandom pieces. I loved reading kpop fics and knew I wanted to write them as well.

I could take any one of my stories and replace only that person’s name and it would be considered entirely original. So, I guess I would say it’s not so different. 

What do you think makes a good story?: Great dialog. 

What is your writing process like?: Sometimes I get an idea and go straight to word vomiting and editing. Sometimes it’s planning the title, characters, tags list, & summary then not looking at it for a few weeks until I’m ready to write it. 

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story?: Yes. All of my stories are AU (non-idol verse) so I would totally repurpose them.

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand?: Love: friends/strangers/enemies to lovers, + grumpy character only soft for their love interest. Dislike: Love triangles, angsty slow burn, cheating, etc.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you?: IT IS EVERYTHING. I love reading tags, getting aks, getting messages, it warms my heart, and really motivates me to keep going.

What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)?: When I write and I really like my own story, it feels like a success. 

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged?: Yes, they certainly can be. I think people who don’t understand fanfiction can have a very narrow mindset and belittle fanfic writers because of that misunderstanding.

Do you think art can be a medium for change?: Yes. Even if its something as small as changing one’s mood. 

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself?: Not usually. I try to only write things that make me happy and if I ever get requests I’m not into, I usually won’t write it. If I’m not enjoying myself and the story, it’s not worth the pressure I put on myself to write it.

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?: It’s definitely possible, but I haven’t had many issues with this so far.

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr?: My mom, dad, sister, husband, and two other friends know.

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers?: I’m always here to make you laugh and smile, whenever you need it. I hope my stories can bring you joy.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there?: Do it for yourself. If you are enjoying yourself then it’s worth it.

If you could do one activity with your ult, what would it be? I’d love for Jisung to show me his recording booth and how he makes his music. I just wanna see the passion that lights up his eyes as he does something he loves and is so talented at.

Why do you think people love idols and their stories so much? As long as they are not delulu and can separate fiction from reality, there’s a lot of fun in imagining a world where you can be with your idol, meet them, and/or be friends with them. To me, it makes them seem more human while giving me access to reading great stories and meeting equally great authors.

Where do you think the line between fantasy and reality should be drawn? A hundred percent as soon as fanfiction is read or created to know that it is FICTION. You do not know them and you are not the love of their lives. From the start, please realize the difference between what is true and what is not. THEY ARE NOT GODS.

What would you do if you met your bias in real life? I’d love to shower them in the compliments they deserve, but I’d probably just BALL my eyes out because they’re gorgeous.

Is there a need for reform in the industry? Yes. There is still a lot going on behind the scenes and blatantly in front of us that send for a big cause of concern. Any industry needs revamped and reformed lmao.

If you could be a K-pop star, would you? I would.

What would you do if you found out that [insert idol here] had read [this] fic about them? Cry, please, save your eyes.

Why did you choose to write for a real person vs. a fictional one? Good question, I’m not sure. Perhaps it was because of the fanbase.

When did you post your first piece? May 26, 2020 (Dec 7, 2014 was my OG post on ff.net haha)

Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? I write fluff, angst (lots), and sometimes crack. While I can rec some awesome smuts, I don’t feel comfortable writing explicit smut as of yet, although I will elude to some smexy time. I do have a WIP that I will one day write that will definitely include smut because it’s part of the story.

Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? I have some OG OCs and my starter fics on Tumblr were third-person female reader. However, recent works include x you (reader) and I find that really fun and easier to write! I don’t really write any ships for Kpop.

Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? Having read so many awesome works on Tumblr made me want to write and hopefully have other readers experience the same feelings I do when I read that great piece. However, my original goal was just to write for Monsta X since there aren’t a whole lot of fics for them but also because I have too many ideas running in my mind. Lastly, I just write for myself.

What inspires you to write? The groups I write for, other things I read (like mangas and/or shows), and especially songs!

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? I write best fluff for established relationships because otherwise it’s all just angst, which is a lot of fun to write while keeping it not too toxic unless stated otherwise for plot. I also love silly fics for giggles. As for Au’s I enjoy regular day to day life with a spin or fantasy based Au’s.

What do you hope your readers take away from your work? I hope they just feel a strong emotion - depending on the genre. I hope that they get to the end and find all the nuances I try to sprinkle throughout the story hinting to clues or plot devices. That’s always what I try to aim for.

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? Cry. Jokes aside, I take a break/breather to refocus and take time for myself. I also read professional works to take my mind off things or get inspired. 

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? My personal favorite of my published works would be my Han Jisung x reader, Promise. It was my first kpop fic and a gift to my friend. I think it’s a hallmark of my return to writing and I look forward to publishing more of my favorite plots! My most successful is Spiderling, a Jeon Jungkook x reader fic, not surprised at all that my first official BTS fic would be the most popular one of my current works haha.

Who is your favorite person to write about? Honestly, I have so many ideas for Changkyun haha. I feel like he’s totally boyfriend material and can fit different roles from a total fratboy to a soft boyfriend. But I’m trying to expand both my writing and pairings and it’s a fun challenge to write for the different boys.

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? I actually do! In my honest opinion, fanfiction is work about an already established character/person/universe. It’s easier for me to think up ideas for characters already prepped because I personally get lost in the details already of thinking up terms/universes to place the story in. I have a character that’s already established and people know about without having to elaborate on those finer details.

What do you think makes a good story? Proper formatting goes a long way. While I don’t judge on grammar and spelling mistakes, it is a much smoother read if people follow basic narrative-writing skills. I feel like anyone who can embody their own style and ideas (without being discriminatory or mean), then they’ve really got me hooked.

What is your writing process like? A mess. I know a lot of people outline, and I try that sometimes. But, normally I just get straight into writing what I’ve brainstormed, maybe adding some notes for future events here and there. If I get tied up at a certain part, I make a messy line break and start another scene.

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? Yes. Funnily enough though, I repurpose my original storylines for fics, but if I could, I would write an original story.

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand? I can’t stand cliches but I WILL cry over them if they’re well-written and/or have a spin on them. So, ultimately I’m down for anything. Enemy to lovers isn’t always my favorite but @gukyi​ does a great job, since that’s her renowned trope.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? A lot! I have a few lovely mootz that always have something nice to say, but I would love more reader interaction! Of course, I’m a newer writer and haven’t blown up so it is to be expected that I’m a little lonely right now. I hope that’s not a long-term thing.

I hate to be blunt about it, but certain members and/or groups truly are more popular which is a shame at times. Plus, interacting with more mootz and authors as well as joining discord chats and networks helps by meeting new people who will interact with you and your content.

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? Yes, at times and with certain topics. We all know people will go on anon and tear anyone down for whatever reason.

Do you think art can be a medium for change? Definitely! Writing for the public,(especially fanfic and reader-based fics) especially in these times, means you have to adapt and adhere to the ever-changing times. We have a role to play in how people perceive things, whether that’s regarding an IRL person or how we view others with representation.

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? Huh, as of now, I feel like I’m writing for myself. Without a lot of interaction, I don’t feel pressure. I do want to write for other groups, but as of now I’m trying to pick up speed with certain groups. I have a lot of WIPs, so we will see where I end up.

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times? Not that I know of, haha.
