💫- funny story while I'm drawing the answers to the asks bc its taking awhile, basically I was trying to come up with smthn super dystopian for Mira's medical program trying to squeeze as much free labor from students as they can, and then i told my mom about it and found out that I just recreated the American medical school pipeline. Apparently it takes 7 to 11 years to become a full fledged doctor here in the real life dystopia and a lotta the time is unpaid (4 years of schooling and at least 3 years of smthn else I can't remember) but I was originally going to make it take 11 years but thought "nah, thats just unrealistic!". and now I'm sitting here writing this and wondering why tf Americas medical schooling capitalist dystopia stuff is so bad it was deemed too extreme to be realistic by a 19 year old fleshing out a capitalist dystopia for amongus fanfiction who lives in said capitalist dystopia. Like, I was like, "eight or nine years seems perfectly evil! Anything beyond that is pushing it into unrealistic!" Just to be out eviled by real life

Just putting this here on my main blog bc i find it hilarious that 3am me got so mad at how shit the country is that I ranted abt capitalism. Wonder if my next bits of worldbuilding will accidentally recreate smthn else American lmaooo. But to be completely serious yellow and brown actually did make me realize some stuff abt real life that makes me realize we lived in a dystopia longer than a lotta ppl think (I believe that water and food should not cost money. anything required to keep yourself alive should be a right, not locked behind a fucking paywall)
