2019 has been a massive year for Snakerattlers. They have established themselves firmly in the UK underground music scene, racking up an impressive 100 shows throughout the year.
The forthcoming video for their track ‘Do The Rattlerock’ is a testament to their constant touring and insatiable work ethic.
The track itself is about feeling like an outsider and struggling to fit in, before ultimately realising that going your own way is paramount. This is basically the ethos and entire foundation of Snakerattlers.
Filmed across six different London shows, throughout 2019, the dangerous duo from North Yorkshire have been captured at their intimidating and ferocious best, by John Clay and Elliott louie Afonso.
The video will be released on Saturday December 7, 2019.

HULL’S WASTE OF PAINT SET TO RELEASE HEART-WRENCHING NEW SINGLE
Waste Of Paint will release their new single, ‘Baudelaire Waltz’ via The New Anonymous on September 27.
“We are not our thoughts, we are the grand observers of our thoughts. Our songs are narratives based on what we are feeling at the time. Sometimes it’s near suicidal despair, other times it’s anger at what is happening to the world. But every song, every line means something…. more often than not it has multiple meanings depending on which way you interpret the lyrics….. but that’s what we like.” Explain Waste Of Paint.
Indeed the band is named after a lyric from one of the masters of this craft Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes). The band, from its inception has always been an arts project. We just paint with sounds. Formed in Hull, Waste of Paint is an ever evolving door of creatives based around the songwriting duo of Adam Brodie and Dan Spooner. Typically Brodie is the wordsmith, and Spooner the producer, although they co-write and produce everything together.

Yorkshire hardcore punk mob Seep Away ready 'Matchstick Man' single
York-based hardcore punk four-piece, Seep Away are readying the release of their first single in a year, ‘Matchstick Man’ on Friday, July 28. The new single is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP, ‘The Blackened Carnival Of Societal Ineptitude’, due in the Autumn.
Taking influence from thrash legends Municipal Waste, alongside hardcore standouts Expire and Incendiary, the track is a vitriolic stab at those individuals we all know who drain the life out of those around them.
Vocalist Jay Sillence comments: “This song is quite personal to me – we all know that special type of assh*le who sucks the life out of people with their actions – they just want to fight, and fuc*, and they have nothing else in their life of any value, so they have to take from others. This song is a dedication to that special person in my life, and I hope other people can relate to the venom that I feel.”
The band’s new EP, ‘The Blackened Carnival Of Societal Ineptitude’ will be released in Autumn. The tentative tracklisting is as follows:

Grimsby's pysch-grunge Sewer Rats announce Mother Acid EP for November 25

Grimsby-based psych-grunge threesome, Sewer Rats are ready to unleash their awesome, fully-charged sonic devastation into the world with the arrival of their new 'Mother Acid' EP on Friday, November 25.
These lads were swamp-fed on a raw diet of proper grunge and balls-out thrash - it's like freakin' Motorhead-meets-Mudhoney and Melvins, or something, man.
Anyway, the band has already pricked the right ears and garnered some solid national acclaim playing for London DIY champs Fluffer Records, and playing alongside the likes of Kagoule and Demob Happy. Not too shabby, eh?
Of the EP, vocalist/guitarist, Luke Morris comments: "This is crusty in your face grunge, influenced by the drag of modern day life and all the sh** that comes with it. Some songs are about not giving a fu** about people's opinions, and some are about heavy trips!"

East Yorkshire's noise-mongering, garage-punks are recalling the energy, and alt-pop sensibilities of The Wytches, Black Flag and Joy Division on 'Beware The Natives'. Bloody wonderful.
Of the track, and its inspirations, bassist Alex Evans comments: "Beware Of The Natives’ is a boot to the face,” states Lumer drummer, Jacob Wardle. “It’s about those natives who surround us, from racists to bigots to corrupt politicians…Beware."

A Joker's Rage release a Yorkshire-Inspired cover of 'California Love' - yeah, you heard that right!
Following on from well received appearances at Hammerfest and Wildfire Festival, painted-up York alt-metal powerhouse A Joker's Rage have unleashed a Yorkshire-inspired version of Tupac and Dre's 'California Love'.
Of the cover, vocalist Zakk Taylor comments: *When we do a cover, we do something unexpected and this tune is a banger! The fans love it and the demand for us to record it has been insane. 'Choose Your Own Adventure' was released through Sotones Records on 24th June 2016. It is the fourth of a string of singles Lomax has released this year from his forthcoming second album 'Postcards & Love-letters (From Somewhere You've Never Heard Of)'.
His previous single 'Butterflies' featured a guest vocal from Natalie McCool and received numerous plays on BBC Manchester Introducing from Natalie Eve-Williams and Michelle Hussey.
Written between England and Australia the second album explores themes of family, identity and choice. 'Lomax adds: "I wrote 'Choose Your Own Adventure' as part of a decision I was trying to take between staying in Preston where I had built friendships, and moving to Sydney to be with family. 'CYOA' was part of the realisation that not every decision needs be Either/Or, that there is always a third choice, and even a fourth, fifth and sixth choice."
