So as a alum of the Avatar: The Last Airbender RP fandom, I still follow some blogs and keep up to date with what’s going on.  Recently, this blog showed up:

First off, this sort of blog is disgusting — it encourages hate, and literally it’s only purpose is for people to anonymously call people out, perpetuate hate and undiscussed personal and ooc issues between roleplayers, and bitch talk individuals behind their backs.

However, it’s become a blog revolving around three individual RPers.  People continue to reference posts they make, and finally, after a while of horrible and bullying posts, it escalated to the point that their URLs were blatantly published:

These three RPers are kind people who work very hard to try to unite the ATLA fandom.  They reach out and promote new RPers, and they also are open to crossovers and try their best to encourage people.  There are plenty of examples, but I’ll just show you some to make my point:

Additionally, they have made posts to encourage and help people RP with others, they run blogs to connect roleplayers, they actively promote others and welcome others to the fandom.

They work really really hard to stay positive.  However, like everyone does and is entitled to, they expressed some opinions that others didn’t agree with — they said that they don’t like small text or fancy formatting, and suddenly, they began to receive hate and this blog sprung up.  They’re repeatedly called hypocrites, and it’s uniting the fandom in a really toxic and hateful way — these three are being pushed away from the fandom and people are spreading lies.

All of this literally over something as stupid as not liking something and expressing it on their blog.  They never mentioned specific people, and they didn’t have anyone in mind that they wanted to attack — they don’t discriminate people who do use formatting or small text, and in fact, they love to RP with them.

After that horrid post was published calling them out by URL on that awful blog, they responded in a normal way — they were hurt, as anyone would be when a blog devoted to hating them showed up.  But many people blamed them.  They are victims, and they are being ridiculed for being hurt by such posts.  People blamed them for being hurt instead of blaming this blatant hate blog for existing.

SO THIS IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO.

Please report this blog.  Here is the link to the block list — just copy and paste whyatlafandomsucks into that, and then report them.  After you hit ‘ignore’, there will be a little link that says “report for harrassment” underneath the name, and all you have to do is click that.  Hopefully tumblr will delete the blog, and it will be the first step to helping.

And please reblog this to spread the word around.  I know it might not be your fandom, but these are real people going through this, and it is absolutely unacceptable.

      It’s a party, and although there are a lot of people who dream of wearing fancy clothes and chat about trivial things while eating sweet food, it’s an annoyance to one of the most attractive women in the house.

      Olivier takes a glass of wine from someone who passes by, then a look at the clock. Too early to leave yet, too late to pretend she hasn’t been here in the first place.

      The textile of Olivier’s dress feels itchy, her feet -not used to wearing heels- hurt since a good hour, and the other women give her pitiful looks because Olivier is as graceful as a bear.

      And a bear she is; Olivier belongs in the mountains, to her soldiers and the cold, the endless desert of ice and snow, made only for the strongest. God, how much she already misses it, even though she won’t stay in the capital for long.

    These kinds of military functions, despite flaunting security detail to rival that of any other event in the nation, didn't sit well with Riza. A gathering of all of the military's highest ranking officials in one place? She would never speak against it, being an event sanctioned by the Fuhrer himself, but she secretly wondered just what sort of event warranted bringing officers from every corner of the country. 

In any case, she came because the Colonel's presence was expected, and she couldn't very well rely on someone else to watch the Colonel's back, now could she?

    It did, however, leave her with the dilemma of what to do when the Colonel was otherwise engaged. To appear at his side the whole night would only feed the rumor mill, and given he was deep in conversation with a circle of high ranking officers, General Grumman included, she stepped away and gave him a look that told him she would not be far away. 

    Maneuvering away and grabbing a thin glass of cider from one of the servers who passed by, Riza wasn't all that surprised to find General Armstrong away from the throng of people all gathered near the tables.

    The words were spoken to no one in particular, but the Lieutenant responded anyway, taking a sip from her glass and looking on at the group she had just left. There was no need for salutes indoors and out of uniform, but she retained formalities as always.

"I can't say I disagree with you, yet here we are, General."
