Rain or Shine. Your Choice.

She was angel, and this was clear. She danced with the devil, and had no fear. The sun shined for her. The rain poured over her. A breath of fresh air, She was. No love, just lust. Temporarily mine, For a very short time. She left me, For who I thought was my buddy. Now I sit in the rain, Sad and muddy. I sat for a while, Before the sun came out. I began to smile, and realize what life really is about. You make your happiness. Smile when you think you can’t, And that’s when the sun will come out.

You are a work of art; there is music in your footsteps, and melodies in your voice. This once insipid world is now full of colors. Did you lend a hand with that? Did you paint the skies cerulean, the curtains green, the windows red? In my sorrow you put a finger to these lips as if to say ‘Let us not talk about sad things’, then you and I would speak about the goodness in everything. Did you lend a hand with that? Did you teach these lips to express the miracles of life, laughter, and love? You had a gentleness about those around you like you knew everyone was fighting their own battles, everyone was worth it. Compassion should be given where it is needed. Did you lend a hand with that? Did you show me when to give somebody a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, a kiss g'night? Darling, how I miss you so. Everything has changed -even you and I- but perhaps you are all of the loveliness that I have written -and will ever write about- from the very beginning. And I just couldn’t grasp you clearly. How I hear, see, think, and feel are all different now. Did you lend a hand with that?

I like drinking coffee alone and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone and walking home alone. It gives me time to think and set my mind free. I like eating alone and listening to music alone. But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her love, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad I just need someone who won’t run away.

Six Things I’ve learned in 16years: 1.) Don’t settle because you’re scared of being alone it’s not fair to anyone involved 2.) People are not medicine, they cannot fix you. You can’t keep falling in love to distract yourself from falling apart 3.) Hope is a beautiful thing it helps keep us moving forward, gives us purpose. Although sometimes you need to know when to let go You’ll be too distracted waiting for someone whose already moved on to notice all the good people who are still in your life. 4.) Sometimes love isn’t enough. I know it’s hard to understand after years of movies and t.v telling us love fixes everything, but sadly life just doesn’t work that way. It’s something we all need to learn to accept. 5.) Change may be scary but it’s good to get out of your comfort zone. Trust me you’ll be old and full of regrets if you don’t start taking some risks even if its just something small like going to the next party 6.) Enjoy the little things, now i know this sounds cliché but its really not a bad idea. Why waste your life waiting for some big event or the next relationship before you let yourself be happy enjoy the small joys in life stop for a moment and just look at the sky stop wasting your life waiting to be happy and just be happy

I saw how her face brightened at the thought of opportunity. The downside was she didn’t care who she left behind, unfortunately. She ran in stride with success. Not once would she settle for less Than the best. By twenty five, you’d have your own empire. All the while I’m trying to put out my fire. It’s wild how I burned so many bridges, But you use them as victory winnings.

The way they align, From time to time. To the way they hide the suns shine. They remind me of us. And how we never aligned, But I wanted us to from time to time, And some of your shine. Was it at the wrong time? You were on the other side of the universe. In a rush to make it the first. I couldn’t move that fast. You are just out of orbit, at last.
