WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY (8/26/25)
Tuesday, 8/26/25, is the 105th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave American women the right to vote. To celebrate, my awesome better half, Celeste, has arranged a march in Washington DC! So if you're in the greater DC area and want to join her, meet up at noon at Constitution and Pennsylvania. Costumes encouraged. Come dressed as your favorite female hero, real or fictional, or a Handmaid, or whatever you think might be fun. Or come as you are! All are welcome.

And if you can't make it and still want to honor Women's Equality Day, Celeste suggests you wear a bracelet in suffragist colors (White, Gold, Purple) on Tuesday. To quote Celeste:

Make a bracelet with yarn/ribbon/cloth scraps. OR wear your beaded amethyst/selenite/gold bracelets in a trio on Tuesday.
Know that you, as a woman, are celebrating your right under the 19th Amendment, ratified on 8/26/1920, to VOTE.
Wearing that bracelet in whatever way you create it, means MY VOTE COUNTS.

Celeste went into this just trying to figure out what it took to get a demonstration permit in DC these days, then actually went forward with it. She's never organized anything like this before, and I'm super impressed she pulled it off.
