People keep saying there’s a ceasefire but every single day we wake up to another explosion, another family destroyed, another name added to the list of martyrs. I’m writing this because the world thinks Gaza is “calm” now.

It’s not. The bombs didn’t stop. The drones didn’t stop. The funerals didn’t stop.

During this so-called ceasefire, dozens of people were killed. Homes were burned. Children were pulled from under the rubble. You’ll see the photos I’m adding below - all taken during the “pause”. This is what our reality looks like.

My own family is suffering too. We lost relatives. We lost our home.

I am Suheila, a mother of five children: Shukri, Widad, Saja, Farah, and Mira. Our lives have turned into a nightmare after our home was completely and permanently destroyed. Our house, which once represented safety and a future for us, is now just a pile of rubble. The walls have collapsed, the roofs have fallen, and everything around us has turned into debris. We no longer have a place to go, and all our memories and hopes are lost.

After our home was destroyed, we have been living on the street in a small tent, at the mercy of difficult circumstances. We have no shelter, no protection from the cold, and every passing day deepens our suffering. My husband, Shadi, who was a fisherman, has lost his source of livelihood completely. His fishing boat was bombed and destroyed, leaving him with nothing. What was once our means of survival is now just wreckage in the sea, and he cannot return to work.

I am a mother collapsing under the weight of injustice… My child went into surgery for four long hours, and the doctor came out with words that have no excuse: “The operation failed.

”It wasn’t only the surgeon who failed — the whole world failed my child who was left hungry the system failed to provide food and vitamins, and hearts were absent when he needed warmth and care.

His body is as fragile as a twig in a storm; his big eyes cling to me and I cannot return him to being a healthy child because I cannot afford the treatment that might heal him.The doctor said: “Immune therapy is the only thing that will save him” — but that treatment is far beyond my financial means.

I beg you: where can I find the money for a life? Where do I buy my child a chance to breathe?

Guys, in addition to the harsh life left by the war, today the situation becomes even more severe due to heavy rains. Children are literally crying under the rain tonight in Gaza. Their tents have collapsed, their blankets are soaked, and they have nowhere to run as storms hit the camps.💔🌧️

Entire families woke up to find their tents flooded and their few belongings drenched in cold water. More than half a million displaced families are living like this, with no roof, no tools to repair torn tents, and nothing dry to sleep on.

My family is one of them.

We lost our home completely, and the rain tonight means cold, sickness, and fear. Giving up just the cost of a cup of tea once could help us get dry blankets, food, medicine, even clean water.

So we are about to move in a couple of days to flee our red state to saftey, and in the last week and a half, I've had a dental emergency costing us a total of about $450 (because I had to go to the dentist (twice) and get soft foods as im down a front tooth now) AND we also had to get some stuff we needed for the trip refunded (actual stuff did not arrive) and repurchase those items. The refund is still processing, which puts us down another $260. Life isn't fucking giving us a break, and anything to help ease this would mean the world, because right now we back to worrying about our ability to pay for the uhaul and afford food on the several days trip to our new home.

I am setting this goal at $100 bc thats what im estimating we will need for the uhaul. Anything else will go to getting food + getting power set up when we get up there.
