Lover!Jordan who wraps themselves up in your words when theyre alone. Even when they dont want to think about you, they do. When they end up at their hometown over winter break, full of discontent from their father's words, they storm outside. The harsh winter air makes them regret not taking their jacket, and they momentarily forget why they walked out in the first place. Jordan walks around their neighborhood, body shifting and phasing between versions of themselves that both fail to satisfy expectations. Except for yours. Because thats how it always was. Tears cling to their skin, too afraid to let go. And the salt of their tears mixed with their clouded thoughts feels palpable against the cold air. And Jordan sits, and thinks about how you would have probably ordered for them, and how you would have plucked the pickles out of their burger and eaten them. And they would have forced you to sit next to them, but in truth, you would've sat next to them either way. You would have teased Jordan for crying, and then they would pretend to be upset, and then take you in their arms and hide his smile in the crook of your neck.
