Hello, I am a pansexual lady and I wanna ask a question that might seem a bit silly. I see a lot of people of other sexualities online joking that something is "lesbian culture" or something is part of "bisexual culture", for instance liking certain musicians or haircuts or styles of clothing or books or media. I also want to joke like that but I have no clue what pansexual culture is because I don't know a lot of other pan people in real life. What do you think would count as pansexual culture?
God, honestly, I wonder what wouldn't count as Pan Culture. . . I guess I could start a list! Here are some things that are Pan Culture!! Well, that I think are:
1. Having 3 or more different kinds of cereals in your cupboard because you forget you already have cereal, but also buy a flavor/brand based on your mood.
2. Falling in love with just about every random person you have a conversation with.
3. Putting Whoppers or Bunchacrunch in your movie theater popcorn to make it a sweet treat. . . And a mess.
4. Asking for advice on how to talk to a crush.... From another crush.
5. Panic shopping during a pandemic and being more concerned about stocking up on pet food than toilet paper.
6. Panic shopping during or after an encounter with a really good looking person whom you've been madly in love with since you originally saw them in the grocery store parking lot 22 minutes ago.
7. Ordering the fanciest thing from a menu at a restaurant because it sounded French and you wanted to impress a date-- only to be served a bacon double cheeseburger... Which is what you really wanted to begin with. (If you're vegan, they serve you an Impossible Burger instead of a real one, and you love it all the same.)
8. Accidentally releasing a large sack of very angry pit vipers in the same room as the entire 1%.
9. Kissing your date for the first time when trying to impress them with your Cast Iron Skillet skills-- but really you only know how to make bacon and eggs with it.
10. Touring the ENTIRE Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in one day and being genuinely interested the entire time.
11. Holding your date's hand at a novelty haunted house around Halloween, only to realize you were clenching a zombie's hand so hard that they literally came out of character to remind you that you are safe.
12. Eating enough sides of broccoli to make your tummy hurt majorly with bad gas because you want to prove to the server at Red Robin that Unlimited Refills for Sides is a terrible idea for them.
13. Encouraging your significant other to do the same and eat Red Robin out of all their sides.
14. Going to Red Lobster, ordering water, waiting for the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, before grabbing the entire basket and running away before you're asked what you'd like to order.
15. Falling in love with everyone you spend more than 10 seconds with in an elevator.
16. Being so jealous of muscular backs at the gym that you end up falling in love with people's shoulder blades.
17. Placing Bite Squad deliveries two hours before the restaurant you're ordering from even opens.
18. Easily reciprocating every emotion your current S/O or romantic interest offers because you're more afraid of disappointing them than figuring out if it's truly how you feel.
19. Doing big romantic gestures no matter the cost, whether it's financial, emotional, economical, etc...
20. Baking the perfect cake for your lover for their birthday but having absolutely no skill with decorating or frosting, so your cake says Harpy Barnder. Or something close to it.
