Hello!! Welcome to The Video Game Broadcast! This blog is dedicated to the showcase of video games of all time, with a big emphasis on niche games or games that may not get the recognition they deserve! The way the showcases will work will be a poll asking if people have heard of the game, and a description ranging from platforms itās on/itās release date to plot synopsis and mechanics!
Video games are wide spread and specific, just like their communities, which is why this blog will also have an ask feature! You can send in a video game youād like to bring awareness to, and a poll may be made about it! Before any submissions however, some rules need to be set for this blog.
1. Please do not submit games that have an nsfw focus (such as porn games, hentai games or overly disturbing games). Games that may have sex scenes or nudity or nsfw topics are fine, but when itās the main focus it will not be put into a poll :)
2. As this is the first post of this blog I do not have a blacklist, but if and when that is established do not recommend games on that blacklist.
3. You donāt have to reccomend niche games! While we bring awareness to niche games that may not get recognition, this is a blog to share the joy of video games period! Any games (that fit the guidelines) are welcome and appreciated :)
4. Just to be clear, this blog is about sharing the joy of different video games, not arguing about which one is better! Discussion is of course encouraged, but just be civil :)
5. Sort of not a rule, but be mindful that this is a one person blog :,) Iāve got schoolwork and stuff but Iām gonna try and be active!!
Hello!! Itās been a bit, hasnāt it? Happy new year!
To start of the new year, Iād love to do some more polls, especially those from our asks!! if you have a video game youād really like to be mentioned, whether it be big or small, Iād love to make one and maybe check it out myself! I made this blog to bring community to more video games, and Iād love to see what you all enjoy :)
Hello! Apologies for another delay but hereās our next poll!! I hope yāall enjoy this one :)
Another reminder that the ask blog is always open for submissions! Send in any video game you wish within guide lines and have a blast!! So far weāve only had one submission and weāre always open :)
Do you like exploring open world games, but donāt particularly like fighting enemies? Do you like puzzles and quests to keep you busy? Do you want a quiet, relaxing game, with a deep story and fun play-style? Then you will definitely enjoy Sable!
You play as Sable, who has just become a Glider- a member of your tribe who must leave and go on your own to discover your place in society- and further yourself, in a sprawling, desert world. Equipped with your hover bike Simoone, and the mask that defines you, you travel the ongoing world in the hope to discover more about its deep history- and soon you as well.
Platforms?
Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S and One, Microsoft Windows
Cost?
24.99, with it being available on PlayStation Plus for the PS5.
Personal Experience?
I have not played through this entire game, but I will say for certain it is a wonderful game to relax and settle down to. I found myself playing it when I needed something tangible and easy, nothing too complex or hard. Certain bits did tick me off, but puzzles are hard, so I wonāt get mad at it for that.
It has this wonderful art style that looks smooth and at the same time complex and detailed. You donāt notice it at first when you play, but youāll definitely see it later on. I will mention it does get hard to see in certain areas (especially in metallic spaces) and I havenāt figured out how to remedy that yet.
The character is hilarious whenever she interacts with the different merchants and I love her a lot. I think you will to!
Fun Facts?
A sable is a small species of omnivorous Martin native to Russias forests!

Do you like aliens? Are you a big fan of simulator-style games? Do you wanna play god to a universe of unique creatures? Then The Fermi Paradox is the perfect game for you!
The Fermi Paradox is a game all about looking after and guiding a unique system of different alien species as they evolve and develop. Help them avoid extinction, develop unique societies and governments, and get them to interact- either through peace, or war.
Platforms?
The game is in early access on Steam!
Cost?
18.99, with the soundtrack available as an added 10

Iāve played this game and can say it is a wonderful game to play and knock a few hours out on. The different alien species are all wonderfully different and special in their own ways, their societies become interesting and fascinating as time goes on, and you tend to pick favorites and root for them as the game progresses.
It is a simulator game however, so I will warn you about potential repetition/feeling stuck (especially if one of your species go extinct). The game tends to combat this though, with so many unique events and experiences that leave you shocked and hook you in. I definitely enjoy that aspect, and I think you will too.
Fun facts?
The game has multiple quotes and lyrics from songs/different texts, with there even being a playlist on Spotify with all the references! Their soundtrack is also on Spotify as well, I definitely reccomend checking both out.
I'd like to submit Sanabi, it's on steam and was described as "Katana zero with a grappling hook" in a review which sold me on it instantly, I played it and, not only was the gameplay so fun, the story, I didn't expect much from it but there was so much story, probably more story than actual gameplay but the end of the game had me crying my eyes out unable to even read the text aloud for my stream.
It's genuinely become my favorite game, probably ever. It's not perfect, no game is, there were several translation errors through out, the story can drag a little in the middle, but the pay off, it's so worth it.
Just posted it! I just checked it out and absolutely ADORE itās feel and soundtrack. Iāve gotta check it out some time! Have you posted your streams of it at all?

Hello! As the second poll of this blog, letās bring attention to a beautiful game, Goodbye Volcano High! Synopsis down below :)

Goodbye Volcano High follows the dinosaur protagonist Fang (they/them) as they navigate their last year of high school, and their dreams of traveling with their band, with the looming threat of an asteroid hovering over them. Make friends, play songs, and do everything you can before the end of the world.
Platforms?
Steam, PlayStation (4 & 5)
Cost?
$30
Personal Experience?
Iāve played the entirety of this game, and itās an awesome experience! The music mini games are fun, the characters are easy to relate and root for, and you end up picking favorites while playing. The game is very short (I finished it in ~7 hours in one day) but it has a lot of replay value, especially with the different choices! Thereās also lots of queer rep, and I definitely recommend playing if youāre queer yourself.
Fun facts?
The main character, Fang, is a pteranodon, even though it isnāt a dinosaur! The game also has many references to different dinosaurs, even taking place on Pangea.
To kick off the start of this blog, hereās a (ironic) title to start! Have you heard of Niche: a Genetics Survival Game?

Platforms?
Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch (with a separate game on Android and iOS
Cost?
$20 dollars, but often goes on sale on Steam
Personal Experience?
This game is a great game to fixate on and spend hours playing it. Itās engaging, addicting, and easily gets you attached to your little Nichelings. Itās also informative, with its mechanics on DNA and how you find new traits for your rather manipulatable pets.
