self explanatory
there it is. that funny feeling.
bo burnham's song about the dangers of the internet being turned into a sound on tiktok for teenagers to dance to is actually peak comedy and totally not something we should think too hard about
people in the tags keep asking if this is real. 464 videos using this sound.
What Bo Burnham likes to refer to as a “comedy special”, I would more so refer to as a “90 minute psychological horror”.
On the theme of stuff being constructed and artificial in "Inside" - there's the "thirtieth birthday" scene.
It begins with the lights off in the room, with just the glow of digital clock (11:58pm). We're told it's midnight on his birthday and we're about to watch him experience the end of his twenties.
Except the digital clock isn't the only thing we see in the dark. We also see strips of light from the closed window blinds. It's light out. Not midnight. We wouldn't see this unless he began the scene in darkness (and he could've chosen to shoot at any point in the night). He's purposefully left evidence of the show's construction and artifice.
