Tony Stark with ADHD who taps at his legs incessantly at meetings but never ever on the table because he still hasn’t forgotten the sore fingers he got from Howard slamming them silent or his Boarding School headmaster hitting his knuckles with the ruler every time they made a sound. Tony Stark with ADHD who talks at a mile a minute and loses himself in his own conversation for a few moments before blinking back into reality and remembering that Normal People Don’t Do That, if he keeps this up then he’s going to get laughed at again. Tony Stark with ADHD who’s considered rude because he cuts into people’s conversations and talks too much and laughs too loudly and he doesn’t mean to be like that, he can’t help it, and these days he just rolls his eyes and lets his own reputation for a self-centred asshole give his audience an explanation for it, because he’s Tony Stark, he’s allowed to be an asshole so it’s fine.

but he still remembers, years ago, how the kids would avoid him and laugh at him behind his back and call him a freak. How they’d mock the way he spoke so fast and copy the teacher’s methods of snapping his fingers with wooden rulers when they made too much noise. He can’t forget that. And the habits stick with him, even when the need for them fades.
