Zelie PLEASE try to reign it in even just a little bit. There's only so much impulsiveness a person can handle and you've already done 3 impulsive things that could have gotten people hurt or killed. I love your but I really do need you to dial it down to a 5 at least.
Once again I am strongly sympathizing with Tzain. As an older sibling it really is so difficult when you have a younger sibling who doesn't think about their actions before just doing crazy shit and then you're forced to bail them out.
I'm buying the 3rd book when I get paid friday so before that I'm reading the first 2 again to refresh my memory. I'll be posting my thoughts while I read if I remember to. Sometimes I get caught up in what I'm reading and then accidentally finish the book in a few hours so we'll see how it goes.
I want to trust Roën so much but CLEARLY trust just gets people murdered around here so I'm gonna stan for now but he's on thin ice

I assume they'll be fighting whoever it is thats kidnapped them. I think they're being taken far away so they'll also have to find their way back home. And Amari still needs to take over the kingdom, although now I don't know if everyone else will agree with that after what she did.
I just started the first book and I NEED to know if Amari/Zelie is canon because I need it to be canon but I know it probably won’t be 😭😭
Anon it was a sad day when I had to face the reality of my ship not becoming canon. I'm still in mourning. But they'll always be together in my headcanons and thats what really counts.

To end up, I had to do Amari Asiwaju from the Children of blood and bone series by @tomiadeyemi. Like I said in my other illustration, one of the things that I loved about this books was her femenin characters, and Amari is no exception. The friendship of this two was amazing! Hope you like it!💛

No, but in all seriousness I'm really not sure now. I honestly doubt that any of the main characters will be paired up by the end.
I know Tzain has the patience of a saint but I feel like knowingly actively planning to kill hundreds of people, including his sister, is a relationship killer. I don't think he could trust Amari on that level again.
And Zélie has that thing going on with Roën, which I've supported since CoBaB and will continue to support until I die, but I don't know if it's something that can last long term. Especially since they have vastly different priorities and responsibilities.
And I hope Zélie/Inan never comes back. That dumpster fire of a relationship can stay dead. They were rushing things at the start and they aren't good for each other now. It would be a toxic relationship and we don't need that kind of negativity in our lives.
