The name is Rayna Lynn Berry (soon to be hudson) , I am eighteen years old. I am the mother of the prettiest little girl in the world, Layla. And I am hopelessly in love with greatest guy in the world Branden Hudson.
I love all things music and am a free spirit at heart. I live everyday like its my last and love like i may never get the chance again.
You’re not the evil woman. She’s just being stubborn and fighting her sleep, baby. I imagine she’s gonna be a hellion sometimes. I mean hell she comes from us, that’s one hell of a mix.
Well I’ll probably be singing more tonight since I’ll be singing to my two girls. Just gotta pick up a few things after I drop off some shit to Burt at the shop then I’ll be home. How’s our little one today?
That sound like the best way to spend the end of my day. And she is okay, though she has decided that the crib is not a place she wants to be for any reason at all.. and that Mommy can sit down and relax.. if she has to be in it. There has been a lot of crying...
Char: We could make sure it would be on Florida.. And shoes would not need to be worn...
Char: Sand between my toes.. :3
Ray: And we could have bright tropical flowers.. And we can one of those cute little baby sundresses for layla.. She is going to make a good beach baby... And we could just invite close friends and family.. it would be so us.. hmm...
Rayna had stayed awake to hear the doctor announce that they had a health baby. After all the commotion wore off she crashed. It seriously felt like she hadn't slept in days. Which she knew wasn't the case but she wasn't going to look the gift of rest in the mouth. When she started to stir again she could hear Branden's voice. It was low, she imagined he was trying not to wake her up. Her body was a little sore now that the epidural was gone. But it wasn't unbearable. She figured that they had dosed her up nicely while she was out. Turning her head she smiled when she took in the sight of Branden holding Layla. The baby looked so tiny in comparison to the giant that was her dad. But even that made Ray smile bigger and she could feel the want to cry. Because she was still a little emotional about all of this. But she pushed hit off. Chuckling when she heard him talk about Layla being tiny. "There's nothing wrong with being tiny," she stated, her voice was a bit weak since she was still kind of warn out. but she knew that she had been heard. "Hi," she added softly when her gaze shifted to meet Branden's. "You two look cozy."
Branden heard Rayna's voice and chuckled softly, turning his head to meet her gaze. "Nah, nothing wrong with it. But hopefully she'll be a little gifted with height. Don't want to have to reach things for her forever." He teased with a soft chuckle. "We are cozy though. And hi, how are you feeling?" He asked with a smile, shifting in the chair so she could see Layla as well. "Would you like to hold your daughter since you haven't seen her since early this morning?" He asked as he moved to scoot closer to the bed. "I think she's missed her momma."
Rayna smiled as he shifted the chair towards her. Her heart warmed seeing the little pink bundle in his arms. "I kind of feel like someone tried to like punch their way to my uterus... but its a dull pain.. so I'm good.." she breathed as he pulled her self to sit up more. She nodded with out hesitation when he asked if she wanted to hold her daughter. "Yes.." she chimed with a big smiled as she held her arms out for her. "Hmm.. Mommy missed you too ity bity," she mused as she held the small baby against her chest. "It was weird sleeping and not feeling you kick me.." she spoke in a quiet tone. Leaning down she scattered kisses over Layla's face. Nuzzling her nose against her cheek, just breathing her in. The baby smell was soothing and she really just marveled at how the little thing was finally her. "We made a cute kid.." she stated after her moment of loving on the baby.
Branden chuckled. "Definitely doesn't sound pleasant." But as she sat up he carefully put her in her arms before settling back down in the chair and scooting closer to the bed so he could lean in close to the girls. As she gave Layla lovin's he just watched, chuckling softly but had the ever present smile on his face. When she finally spoke he nodded in agreement, looking at his daughter with a loving expression. "Yeah, we made a pretty cute one. Gonna be one hell of a heart breaker when she gets older with a mix of our looks. I'm going to have to keep a shotgun to keep the punks away."
Rayna rolled her eyes as Branden spoke. "You can't do that.." she breathed as she let her fingers lightly trace over the knuckles of layla's little hand. "If my dads had employed the shot gun policy we wouldn't be here right now.. and this pretty little thing wouldn't exsit.." she added matter of factly as she looked at Branden. "I'm sure you fall in to the punk category on someones list.." she teased with a small grin before she looked back to Layla. Her index finger traced the line of her nose as she just got lost in the features of her daughters face.
Branden chuckled. "I can do that." he poked his tongue out playfully. "And of course I fall in the punk category on every parent who doesn't know anything about me." He smirked playfully before replying again. "Besides, I could get around your dads and a shotgun if they had that policy." He shifted a bit in his seat. "I think the nurse will probably come in here in a few to check on you. I think she mentioned something earlier about the first breast feeding thing or something."
Rayna shook her head as she listened to Branden speak. "Don't worry, Mommy is not going to let daddy scare away any of your potential boyfriends." she promised before she looked up. "Oh.. that's good. I need to figure out how the whole breast feeding thing is going to work out... I am a bit nervous she won't want too.." she breathed shifting a bit in her place. Ray had read that some times babies didn't take to it. She hoped that wasn't the case with Layla, since breast feeding was better for the baby.
Branden shook his head. "I won't scare them all away. Only the ones I think aren't good enough." Which would probably be all of them but they didn't need to know that now. "I'm sure she'll be just fine at it, baby. Don't get worried or anything." he said while leaning in to press a kiss to her cheek. "Oh, I think Rachel and your dad will be back tomorrow, they left flowers and an extremely soft teddy bear. My mom will be by after her shift tomorrow and Finn will probably return since I think he's absolutely in love with her since the look on his face was kind of amusing when he saw her."
Rayna nodded her head as he told her not to worry. he was probably right so she pushed it out of her mind as she listened to what else he had to say. "Good, I don't think I am up for any more visitors right now," she replied honestly just as there was a knock at the door. Hey there... the nurse greeted them as she walked in. You think you're up for trying to breast feed a little? she asked moving to the open side of Ray's bed. "Yeah.." she nodded as she shifted up in the bed a little more. She hesitantly let the older women take layla from her as she went to moved the blankets down and pull her arm out of the gown. Would you like to try this alone? the women asked causing Rayna to pause for a moment. They were really keen on trying to kick people out of rooms. Shaking her head she pulled the gown completely down. Really she had very little shame as it was.. and it wasn't like he hadn't seen them before they did have a baby after all. The nurse nodded before going about how to do what she needed to do. Taking Layla back in her arms she went about things just as she had been told. She was a little discouraged when Layla didn't go for it instantly. But a moment later she felt the odd sensation against her breast. "Wow.. that feels weird.." she breathed staying still so she didn't like startle the little thing. It will feel different the first couple time.. but she seems to be a natural the women's words made rayna laugh. "Well we know she gets that from you," she teased as she looked to Branden, she thought it was funny but by the slightly uncomfortable look on the nurses face.. she figured it was a little to much for the old women. Who after a moment told her she would leave her to it and quickly moved out of the room. "I don't think she approves.." she stated with a shake of her head as she turned her focus back to layla.
Branden nodded. "Yeah, I think they all kind of realized that since you were pretty knocked out." He chuckled softly, his head turning towards the door as the nurse came in. As the two of them talked he stayed quiet only to raise an eyebrow at the nurse when she asked if Rayna wanted to do it alone. Seriously? He's seen them like a million times, why would this be any different. His head shook slightly at the nurse as he went back to looking at his daughter lovingly. When Layla was back in her arms he waited to see if she'd do anything and felt relieved for Rayna that she seemed to naturally go for it. A soft laugh fell from his lips at her comment, shifting his gaze towards the nurse and waiting until she left before speaking. "It's because she's old. But the Hudson's do have a healthy appreciation for breasts so it doesn't surprise me that she's a natural." He said with a soft laugh.
Rayna chuckled before she brushed her fingers over Layla's cheek. "Don't get to comfy there little one you'll make daddy jealous.. he's used to being the only on that uses those.." she grinned a bit as she leaned down to press a kiss to Layla's forehead. after a few minutes she noticed that the sucking feeling had stopped and Layla was knocked out in her arms. "Looks like she's done... Can you take her?" she breathed lightly as she shifted the baby away from her chest carefully. Once she was out of her arms, Rayna pulled her gown back in to place along with the covers.
Branden chuckled. "I think I can share. For a little while at least." When she was done, Branden nodded and stood, scooping his little girl up in to his arms, leaning down to brush his lips against her forehead. "Definitely like me. Eat, pass out." He chuckled softly as he lightly rocked back and forth on his feet before taking a few steps towards the little bed they brought her in, placing her in it and putting the tiny blanket over her. "There. She can get some rest." He said softly, moving it close to the bed so they can keep their eye on her. When he finished he sat down, sliding his hand over Ray's. "Definitely one of the greatest days of my life, baby. We did good."
Rayna laying back in to the bed she watched him as he moved to put layla down in the little bed that was in there for her. Smiling as he spoke, "She's had just as big a day as we have," she breathed lightly as she turned her attention from the baby to him. Her hand shifted to link her fingers with his. "We did really good," she leaned a little in the bed so she could press a kiss to his cheek. "Its really surreal.. she is here.. like she is a real and we can hold her.." she added shaking her head as she chewed on her lip.

Branden smiled as she kissed his cheek. "It really is. Kind of glad I don't have to keep my hands on your belly for a while just to feel her kick. Now I can see and hold her whenever I want." He breathed out softly as he glanced at the little bed before looking back at her. "I love you..so much." He said with a smile, leaning in to press his lips to hers. He practically worships the ground she walks on, especially after what he saw today.
Rayna nodded. "Yeah.. I won't miss being kicked," she chuckled a bit. She smiled against his lips when he kissed her. "I love you too.. unhealthy amounts," she chimed as she pulled away. She leaned it to kiss him again. Ray was still filled with a million and one emotions right now. Complete and utter devotion to her boyfriend and the father of the beautiful baby girl that lay sleeping near them was definitely one over them.
Branden chuckled. "I can imagine it wasn't pleasant." He smiled when she kissed him again, keeping their lips connected a little longer so they could properly kiss while his free hand reached in to his pocket before resting it on the bed again. When he pulled back he lightly brushed his nose against hers and met her gaze for a moment. "Do you love me enough to marry me?" His lips slowly formed in to a grin as he flipped open the top of the ring box that was in his hand. "Or I should say...Rayna. Will you marry me?"
Rayna felt a content feeling wash over her as she got to kiss him properly after everything. She smiled brightly when he brushed his nose against hers. Her eyes narrowed though when he spoke again. "Hudson I have already told you that I am not accepting some half ass attempt.. if that a ring?" she replied her mouth dropping open a little as she stared at it. Reaching for the box she closed the top an handed it back to him. "Do it again this time I won't run my mouth.." she urged with all seriousness since she kind felt like a bitch for assuming he wasn't serious... not that she really thought her had been serious before but still...
Branden raised an eyebrow at her slightly only to laugh when she realized that he actually had a ring this time. When she told him to do it again he shook his head, grinning a bit before standing up and pushing the chair back so he could get down on one knee. Thankfully he's tall so he was still taller than the bed when he was on his knee. "Rayna Berry. Will you marry me?" He said as he opened the box, holding it out to her.
Rayna kind of fell in love with him a little more when he actually moved to do it again. She sat up straighter as he moved on to his knees and even know she knew what he was doing she couldn't help the slight flutter in her stomach. A huge smile appeared on her lips when he spoke. This time she nodded her head with out hesitation. "Yes.." she breathed with a little bounce. Okay so she had never really thought that she would want to be married. But that was way before any of the last year almost. Now she really couldn't see any life if it didn't have him in it.
Branden grinned up at her when she accepted, pulling the ring out of the box and sliding it on to her left ring finger, not wasting any time in kissing her. After a few moments he pulled back, pressing his forehead against hers. "Guess your dads will have to get over me being in your life forever." He chuckled softly, lightly brushing his thumb against her cheek.
Rayna felt tears start to collect in her eyes as he slipped the ring on to her finger. She leaned in to the kiss as their lips met, savoring the warm feeling that washed through her. "Yea.." she breathed out with a sniffle as she cleared her throat. "I guess they are... then again you would be in it forever with or with out a ring," she added tilting her head again so that she could press another kiss.
Branden chuckled softly. "Yeah but now they have to live with me being their son-in-law." He kissed her back for a moment before putting the ring box on the side table and shifting on to the bed. He was kind of glad that the beds were large enough. But he still turned on to his side so there'd be plenty of room, his arms moving around her.
Rayna shifted over so that he had room when he moved on to the bed with her. She didn't have nearly as many wires attached to her like she had when they first came here. So it was easier for them to cuddle. Turning she shifted on to her side. Pressing her back in to his chest as she snuggled back in to him. "This is really the best day ever..." she breathed lightly. "We have a beautiful little girl, I survived child birth, and I get to officially be a Hudson. I'd say that is one hell of a list of accomplishments for one day." she added with a content sigh.
Branden smiled as she snuggled back in to him, his hand finding hers and linking their fingers together. "It really is. You survived it like a boss, babe." He chuckled softly, kissing her shoulder. "Probably the best list of accomplishments of our lives. And I was thinking that we'd get married sometime after graduation. So there's no school missed or anything like that."
Rayna relaxed as they settled in to each other. "Yeah.. thats a good idea.." she breathed chewing on her lip as bit as she went quiet. "Would you be upset if I didn't want to go back to school... like if I stayed home.." She breathed out quietly. She hadn't really talked to him about it much. But she just didn't think she could focus on sitting in class everyday while she knew someone else was looking after Layla.. and it wasn't like Mckinley had a day care.
Branden smiled. "Im glad you think so." His head tilted as she spoke. "I wouldnt be upset baby.you can do what you want. I imagine you'll at least get your ged right?"
Rayna nodded at his question. "Well yeah.. I mean I can do school from home. I just.. I don't want to spend my whole day distracted because Layla is in some day care..." she breathed with a sigh. "I mean I know your mom can watch her some times. But she works, and I would much rather just be at home. Work on school at my pace and take care of her." she added wiggling in to him a little more.
Branden nodded a bit. "Makes sense, baby. If that's what you wanna do then do it. I'm not gonna stop ya." He chuckled softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze before brushing his thumb against the side of her palm. "And when you're busy with your school thing then I can take care of her. I think we can work out some perfect balance to work together."
Rayna smiled as she let her eyes close. Quietly listening as he spoke. "I think we can to, we'll make it all work" she let out a content sigh. "I just think it would be easier with me home. Since you have to work and go to school... and you'll have baseball in the spring." she breathed lightly. "I'll probably do better with school work if I am on my own... I just don't do well with class rooms."
Branden leaned in a bit closer to her. "We definitely will. We're a great fuckin' team, baby." A kiss was pressed to her shoulder as she continued to talk. "It would. And I don't know if I'll be doing baseball in the spring. Haven't decided yet." Yeah, he loved baseball and he was pretty damn good at it but he's got a baby now. The only things he really needs to focus on are school, work, his baby, and his fiance. "Nothing wrong with that, baby. I'm sure you'll do pretty great on your own with school work."
Rayna frowned her brow a bit when he said that he didn't know if he wanted to play baseball. "But you love baseball... and its your senior year.. you can't miss your senior year of baseball," she breathed shifting abit so she could turn and look at him a bit.
Branden chuckled. "Well if you don't want me missing out on baseball so much then I'll play." He said softly in reply, pressing his lips to hers gently. "I just figured that it was better to focus on school, work, and the two loves of my life."
Rayna smiled. "Good," she chimed happily. "Baby, its baseball at McKinley.. its not like I am telling you to move to new york and play for the yankees." he added with a chuckle. "You'll be able to focus on us just fine."
Branden smiled. "I know it's not like that. I was just thinking about what was best for us.." He kissed her again, chuckling softly. "But I'll play and the both of you can be my cheerleaders at my games."

Rayna smile. "I would like to bring her to watch you, I am sure charlie can fashion some kind of Baby McKinley wear for her." she smiled at the thought. Actually the whole thought of them just being a little family made her smile. She let out a content sigh slipped from her lips as she lay there, her mind traveling to all the things they had to make sure to do with Layla. Her thoughts cause her to go silent that she played with her fingers.
Branden chuckled softly. "That would be pretty cute to see. I'm sure the bookstore at least has a few little shirts for infants. Just haven't been in there in ages." His chin rest against her shoulder as he enjoyed the silence for a moment. "What ya thinking about, baby?"
Rayna was pulled out of her thoughts when he spoke. "I'm just think about how we're a little family now... I mean I knew that we would be. When I was pregnant I knew that she would come and we would be a little family." she answered lightly. "But its just real now.. and I am think about all the things I wanna teach her to do.. Like play the piano or guitar. Or placed I wanna take her.. like to see you play baseball or take her to see Finn play football if he does so when he is in college.." she added. "I'm just really happy.." she chuckled a little as she pulled her hand away from his so she could wipe the tears that had formed in her eyes away.
Branden smiled as he listened to her. "Aw. I'm really happy too, baby. But I'll teach her guitar.." He chuckled. "You can teach her piano and Finn can teach her the drums. Then we all can help her with singing. She's going to be one musically talented kid that's for sure." His head tilted so he could kiss the side of her neck. "We'll be able to show her all kinds of things, baby. It will be amazing."
Rayna sniffed a little as she willed the tears away. She really hated how emotional she was right now. "I love you," she breathed as she snuggled back in to him. She could still feel a few tears. But she could also feel herself getting tiered again. "I think Mommy needs a nap too," she replied with a light chuckle.
Branden gently squeezed her body as they snuggled close. "I love you too, baby." A soft chuckle fell from his lips. "I think daddy will take a nap too since it's all quiet here."
Rayna smiled when he said he would sleep too. "Good, you need to rest to.. we both can't be exhausted," she smiled. It didn't really take long for her to pass out. Since she was still pretty tiered out from everything. It was just a really good way to end a awesome day.
