Well...what can I say... Wilfred's series finale... I honestly don't know what to say. It was bittersweet. :| Still, I'm happy that Ryan and Wilfred found some sort of happiness. I guess in the end, you shouldn't ask many questions in order to find happiness, but instead just go with the now and move forward. After 4 awesome and epic years (28 in a dog’s life), it was time to say good-bye to my favorite pot smoking, alcoholic binging dog known as Wilfred. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m very sad it's over, especially because I enjoyed all the crazy things Ryan and Wilfred did together. Whether it was taking a dump in somebody’s boots, practicing for a dance competition, trying to find answers of who they are or just sitting in the basement smoking weed, it was the good times they had that mattered. Also, let’s not forget Kristen and Jenna. Those two were as important and entertaining as well. Overall, the whole cast was brilliant and the episodes were entertaining too. This show has taught me so many things.
It taught me that happiness isn’t easy. There are many things in life you’ll go through in order to find it. One of the things is trust. It takes a lot in order to have trust in someone, as well as trying to find the right one to put it with. Once you find that right person, believe in their loyalty and never doubt them. Doubting a friend is the first sign to fear. Fear can lead to suspicion and suspicion can lead to anger. The more you let fear get to you, the more of a stagnation it’ll become. Putting yourself in isolation will only lead to misery and unforgettable consequences. It doesn’t always have to be like that though. Remember that you can always escape this delusion. For when in doubt, there’s always a friend who is willing to show their compassion and comfort towards you. Sure, you guys may have some confrontation at first, but you both will eventually move past that, making amends and going forward. Remember, it’s not something out of pride or heroism that makes them a good friend. It’s the amount of respect and acceptance that they have towards you as a friend. Same can be said about their intuition. Let’s also not forget the amount of sacrifice they give in order to help. Them doing that is a sign of a good conscience. But besides friendship, it is up to you to find your identity as a person. Finding it can be a huge responsibility and take a lot of progress to achieve. However, there’s no shame in letting go of guilt, resentment and avoidance towards others. Having some dignity and taking control is a great help of service to living in the now. Also remember that honesty helps prevent many regrets and secrets from being made. It’s better to have truth than uncertainty. Going the distance is hard and some resistance is to be expected. Just remember to always look ahead with a bright perspective. It takes real courage to look through those patterns in order to find answers. And even when you can’t find all the answers, just keep going because remember, no matter what, you’re never alone on this journey to happiness.
Thank you Wilfred for coming into my life, teaching me many things! Thank you for an awesome show that I will always love and remember! May you live on forever, mate! To Wilfred! :D
