❝ I need advice. sex advice. ❞ - Aarik B)
It wasn’t unusual for Rose to go weeks without contact from her Sister and her Sister’s… friend. Although technically Aarik was her friend as well. But he and Koret were rather close and she was certain she had seen them kiss months ago at the Faire. That memory was fuzzy. Regardless, when Aarik sat down beside Rose on the stone bench she was more than a touch surprised. Happy enough to see him, though, as she turned her hazel eyes toward his familiar face and a smile started.
“I need advice,” Aarik started, his voice suspiciously low, “Sex advice. I need sex advice.”Record scratch.Rose laughed, a nervous high-pitched noise that was a bit louder than it needed to be. “What?”“Sex advice, Rose. I – I need… help.”“Why me?” At the question Aarik gave her a look and her cheeks colored a dark red. “Right, well,” Rose continued, “I – When a man and a woman are fond of, ah… each other. Although it does not have to just be a man and a woman, mind you. I can be a man and a man or a woman and a woman or – ah. Anyway.” She was talking fast, now, rambling on as she stared straight ahead. “Right. So, if a person and a person are both very fond of one another they sometimes have, uhm.”She went on for an awfully long time, barely pausing to breathe as she attempted to lay out the facts of sex. The Birds and the Bees, if you will. It was awkward.

Aarik walked into his house, lazily tossing his keys onto the counter only for his gaze to catch the pile of mail that rested there. With a sigh, he moved to look through it; it was probably all bills anyway. Maybe even a notice that he was late on rent, yet again. Slender fingers carefully pulled out one that wasn’t marked and his heart race sped up a moment, worry instantly overcoming him. He always did think the worst.
Relief soon came when the picture fell out and the familiar smile greeted him. Wasn’t her name Rin? Yes, it was. A ghost of a smile touched his lips for a brief moment as he recalled their conversation in the library, she still was full of hope to find her family. He felt sorry for her, most of the Gilneans weren’t lucky enough to be reunited.
He wondered if he had been too awkward around her, she probably didn’t send this to him on purpose. She might even avoid him if she saw him in the streets just so she didn’t have to endure the small talk again, he thought to himself. Slowly he tucked the picture back into the envelope and rested it against the counter once more. Maybe if he found anything that belonged to her family in the library he would put the picture there since it wasn’t meant to be with him.

Rin took her mail up to the small room she rented in Stormwind. Tucking back a strand of dark hair, she settled her cloak on a peg, heading over to the small table that served as a writing desk, a spot to eat at and a catchall for all the books she had collected.
There were a couple of letters from friends she had found, the postdate on them from weeks ago. Rin sighed quietly, too used to the carelessness and outright distrust thrown her way because of her origins. She grabbed the only unmarked envelope and opened it.
“Well now, if it isn’t the shy lad from the library…” She couldn’t help but return the easy smile Aarik wore in the photo. “I wonder who caught you so off guard. And why I possess the picture instead of you.” Rin tapped the photo and slid it back into the envelope. It wouldn’t be right to keep it. She’d have to return it to him.
If she could manage to pin him down for more than a few brief minutes.
