Go Big or Go Home
I always think like this, caught up in how every hobby, every moment, every hair on my head has to to tell a story. I get so caught up in thinking this that I forget something fundamental: stories are told through moments.
The value of the best literary classics is not purely within the overarching tale (the princess and prince find love, a child starts from nothing but achieves grand dreams). Rather, the best of the best use every word at their disposal to convey deeper ideas.
I am happiest laying in the mud at the bank of a creek. I am happiest playing tug-of-war with my dog or singing bad karaoke with my sister.
The moments tell the story. The beginning and end are just a summary.
And if the summary were the best part, no one would ever pick up the book.
