It's been a month since Vegas, and the saudade is real. (at Goodsprings, Nevada)

💇 New hair, who dis? 🌹 I've been having a difficult time the past few months (many of you will relate). Though Las Vegas with my family was an absolute treat, coming home only meant I had to fully face reality and my over-thinking brain. It was beyond amazing to turn that off for a while. But here I am, jetlag not fully worn off and my circadian rhythm all over the gaff. Going to bed at 10:30pm and waking up at 1:30am to listen to himself sleeping soundly beside me. The thoughts that woke me up keep me company all day, they follow me into the shower and they're there when I drink my coffee. So I went for the chop, cos new hair = new me. And tonight I'll go to bed at 10:30pm and hope I zzzz til 6am. I'll eat my greens and I might run (but I might not). And I'll cope because life has never actually been better. Sometimes I can see the sky.

2018 marks my 7th year on a plant-based diet. Going vegan was, and is, one of the best things I've ever done. It increases my health and brings me closer to the living beings we share this earth with. It teaches me compassion, and peace, and how to make a mean burrito. Happy New Year to Every Living Thing and to the earth on which we walk, this year I will make a conscious effort to improve my relationship with you and treat you with kindness.
