Sooo they turned Jay into Erin hahaha
#24 Trust
A/N: I’m here again, spoiling you. :D But to be fair, you spoil me with reviews all the time, so you deserve it. You’re the best, and please keep leaving them, because I assure you nothing feeds my muse as much as a nice long review.
This is based off 3x01 and briefly references a moment from another 50tl fic -> Hands. I guess if you want to read it in order, you read the first part of this fic, then Hands, and then the rest of it haha. But really you can read it in any order, and it’s not as relevant, only so you know what Jay is thinking about when thinking about the hospital apology.
Prompt #24: Trust - He trusted her with his life.
Word count: 2,350
Dedicating this one to @queseraone for a special occasion that I won’t say what is, but you know babe :D 15 is the operative number.

One Hundred Ways to Say ‘I love you’ - 79: “I’ll still be here when you’re ready.”
Thank you all once again for the amazing feedback! It’s really driven me to write this one quicker :) Please let me know what you think - I seriously love reading all your thoughts. It truly makes my day(s).
This prompt is from @queseraone and @glasgowgirl92, and as always huge thanks to@justkillingtimewhileiwait for her beta’ing help :)
Like always - if you have any prompts off this list you’d like me to write, just message me! (That list is also a master post for all the prompts I’ve so far :))
Inhaling deeply, Jay swiped his hands down his jeans before reaching out to knock on the wooden door in front of him. This should have been the easiest part; he knew the women on the other side better than he knew almost anyone else. More than that, he had managed to knock on the front door of his boss’ house, successfully gain entry and even gotten permission to head up towards the sergeant’s pseudo-daughter’s bedroom. So approaching Erin after everything she had done to get him back safely should have been nothing.
Except it felt like everything, especially with the knowledge she was working on beating her addiction and getting sober so she could come back to work. Back to him, or so he hoped. Regardless of what their personal relationship status had been prior to her downfall, or what she would want now. As long as he had her in his life, things would definitely look a lot better than it had over the past few weeks.
Letting out a deep sigh, Jay raised his hand and finally knocked. “Erin, can I come in?” he added when there was no sound or sign of her.
A rustle of paper and the soft padding of bare feet against carpet built up the moment to when she opened her door, eyeing him suspiciously even as surprise masked her features. “What are you doing here?”
“I thought you might like some company,” he answered honestly, eyeing her as subtly as he could. She was dressed in a pair of black leggings and an oversized CPD hoodie, hair swept up into a messy ponytail. With her face devoid of any and all makeup, it was easy to see the toll withdrawals was taking on her with her paler complexion and darker shadows under her eyes. Yet, as she smiled and allowed him to enter the room, his heart still picked up the pace as it always did at her dimples. “And maybe get out of here.”
“I’m not 16 anymore; I’m not climbing out of that window,” Erin scoffed dryly, throwing out a hand towards the old window which rattled gently in the summer breeze.
Jay laughed as he approached the aforementioned window, peering outside to see the roof of the porch directly under the window and leaving no doubt that she had taken that route out many times before. “Let me just state that I’d be fine with climbing out, but I was thinking of using the front door,” he informed her, earning himself a raised brow before he clarified, “Voight said it’d be cool, as long as I had you home by 9pm.” He didn’t add how much it had pained him to bite back a retort about having her on curfew to their boss.

Small Bump p. 3
A/N: You asked and waited (some more politely then others) and here it is. I hope you enjoy Erin’s third trimester and her emotional outbreaks. It’s been fun writing her so different than she usually is, but she just really can’t keep her hormones in check.
I hope you like this, and please please let me know what you think. I worked hard on this chapter being as realistic and fluff as possible and I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.
If you missed the first two parts: LINK.

#25 Sex
A/N: WE’RE HALF WAY THROUGH. I may actually believe I’ll make it to 50 haha. I wanted to do something different, so I hope you like this. Please let me know because I’m a nervous wreck about this one.
Thank you for all your reviews and support, and without further talking …
Prompt #25: Sex. - It was good. No, it was earth-shattering.

I Hope We’re Talking About The Same Thing - Part 1
So, as I said last night, huge shout out to the lovely @queseraone for this idea. What started as a weird conversation has shifted into this, another collection of fics but with some steamier content.
I’m gonna let this be self explanatory, but warning you now, these fics will be rated M.
Enjoy!

More Than Okay (Rewritten #2)
Pairing: Linstead Timeline: AU to season 5 where Erin never leaves. Genre: Hurt/Comfort. Rating: G
A/N: I was so thrilled at the response that I got for the first episode rewrite, so I hope you like this one too. (you better, I had to force myself to watch CPD to write it, even though it’s currently not on top of my list of comfort shows (get it, since it causes me pain??)).

Loved it!
Me trying to watch season 5 of Chicago PD
A Perfect Storm
Pairing: Linstead Timeline: AU to 5x01 where Erin never leaves. This also disregards the entire fiasco after 4x16, so Jay never moved out, and he doesn’t have a wife, and basically yeah I’m erasing that horrible storyline because I can. Also because of that, Voight never broke up Linstead as partners, Jay stopped Erin from going in with the gun, and voila, nobody got in trouble. #ThePowerOfFanon Genre: Hurt/Comfort. Rating: G
A/N: This is for the anon who requested it, and for everyone else who needed this as much as I did.
I’ve been playing with the idea of rewriting all the episodes this way, keeping the canon storyline, with the exception of Erin still being there. I’ve gotten some very enthusiastic response already, and I can’t thank you all enough for that. I love you guys.

Did you see the deleted scene the CPD account posted on twitter? JAY HAS TALKED TO ERIN!!!
I saw it and, while I hate to be a Debbie Downer, I think Jay was lying to Kim about talking to Erin. His hesitation in answering her question about whether or not she had talked to Erin reminded me of his hesitation in 1x01 when she asked if he saw action while serving as a solider in Afghanistan.
I suppose you could argue that his hesitation is similar because both events are painful for him, but he barely gave any details to Kim about Erin’s job – at best, because Erin is being vague with him and, at worst, because he has no idea.
Jay’s answer also doesn’t make sense in the context of what we saw in the episode between him and Hank. He waited until everyone was out of the bullpen to ask Hank if he had heard from Lindsay, which means he didn’t want anyone to know he had to ask Hank about her.
Because if he was talking to her, if he knew she was out on assignment and couldn’t call him back, why would he need to ask Hank if he had heard from her? Why would he ask if she was coming back? Why would he need both Kim and Hank to assure him that this was the right move for Erin if he was talking to her, if she was in fact being noncommittal during their conversation about whether or not she liked her new job?
So, no, I don’t think Jay has talked to Erin. I think that scene was done to show that Jay still cares for Erin and his team knows that (and to give a bit of a call back to how 3x01 opened), but was ultimately deleted because it was redundant to the scene with him and Hank and the message – that Jay hasn’t talked to Erin, that he has no idea what’s going on with her, that he needs to move on – contained within it.
Agreed. It sounded like he was lying.

3x01/5x01
unwelcomed beginnings.
- Hi, everyone! So sorry it’s been so long. Please enjoy. Thanks for sticking around.
The click of the key in the lock shouldn’t have felt so final, shouldn’t have felt like he was back in the hills of that damn valley, shielding himself from gunfire and walking head first into a war zone.

/ 1) Lindsay got an awkward sendoff “Reform” absolutely had to address Lindsay’s leaving Chicago. It was the single most talked about question going into the Chicago PD premiere, and even if it wasn’t, that’s what was deserved given how much the character and the actress meant to the series.
The episode did the best that it could with the issue, since the rumors of Sophia Bush returning to wrap up her storyline didn’t turn into a reality, and so what we got was Halstead wandering in an empty apartment and asking Voight (Jason Beghe) if he’d heard from Erin.
But in other ways, it came off awkward. It felt like Chicago PD was trying to have the situation both ways—focus on Lindsay’s absence and move the show forward without her. Having the whole intro to “Reform” be about her (not to mention almost all of the “previously on”) made the issue front and center.
It may have been better in a big picture sense to lead with the real thrust of the episode (the shooting and Halstead’s career) and have him deal with the loss of Erin in the middle or near the end of the episode. Especially since losing Lindsay didn’t have anything to do with Jay’s problem; it’s not because of her that he ended up in hot water.
And then having him share so many scenes with Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), whom many Chicago PD fans see as Lindsay’s replacement, was just unintentionally awkward. It’s hard to say that Upton isn’t meant to replace Lindsay when the first episode of the new season has most of her scenes with Lindsay’s ex-partner/ex-boyfriend.
Props are in order to the show for not brushing off the loss of Erin Lindsay, but it wasn’t perfect either. We’d give it a solid B.
Here is just a little part of the article about Erin’s send off and what they thought of it. They gave it a way better grade then I would of her sendoff. Click link
