wytches are humans with the power to affect natural or unnatural change by magical means. they connect themselves with divine forces in order to practice magic. with regular practice they can become highly skillful, dangerous if endeavors lead to malecium. there is a general curse to their existence; they tend to become addicted to supernatural forces and due to their constant use of magic, to misuse they will surely go down a path of becoming increasingly amoral towards human life as a result. the concept of wytches has existed across various cultures both primitive and advanced, throughout recorded history. their general misconception of their kind is primarily rooted in the mass carnage of the middle ages, against people, particularly women, who practiced any form of belief or healing that could be deemed anti-christian.
There has always been worlds that Theodore Michael Tremblay was either uninformed or unaware of. The first world he was never introduced to were those of his parents’, his father never being in Theodore’s life, even before he was born, and the second that his mother gave birth to the boy with many gifts to come, she gave him away. But it wasn’t fate that had laid out it’s plans for Theodore, but his mother’s, along with the Church of Night. The babe was given to a wytch couple, swore to keep their world hidden from Theo until the time was right. It remained hidden, raised as a mortal and way for the world of night.
The ‘mortal’s childhood was a fairly normal existence. He didn’t really make a special mark on the world, at least not in his own eyes. There was so much that he wanted to do growing up, and what really stuck out to him was acting. Getting into the art-form as a child, it was something that he pursued greatly, and strangely was wonderful at. It seemed that the only way that Theodore could succeed in life was not being himself. There were no signs of deception, or the powers that dwelled within him.
During the summer after his senior years, Theodore was approached by a man from Saint Leviathans University, a professor. While Theodore had plans of his own to go to Astoria, the professor convinced the teenage to partake in his summer course and see what Leviathans had to offer.
That summer is cloudy in Theodore’s recent mind, but what started off as ordinary classes turned into anything but, it was said that Theodore had powers that he had to tap into and Dorian was there to bring it out of him, not that Theodore remembers this. The only event from the last two months of his life that Theodore remembers is the heat…the flames, the fire licking at his skin like bites from demons, and the smile of one itself.
THE BETWEEN
The Dark that overtook Theodore’s afterlife, darkness all lacking its blackness. Theo only recalls of his time between The Light and The Dark was the glow of his personal hellscape, obsidian glowing a deadly crimson, emptiness and isolation. it also changed constantly, to woods, beaches, water, mountains, many things between and things that Theo could never fathom. Pain, endured to him and pain that he caused him, forgotten in his time, but all still true. The worst of these pains was that he experienced everything alone, not a soul to comfort him, nor even a tormentor producing Theo’s pain, the wounds coming from an invisible source. As sudden as he came into this nightmare, Theodore escaped, somehow. Coming time this world, becoming a fresh soul that took it’s torture and isolation to discover something powerful within the shell that was Theodore Tremblay
THE DARK
Two very separate lives, one was his heaven and one was he hell, but both seemed like a dreams left on the mind during the cusp of waking up. Fuzzy, the worlds blurred and words mumbled, but the feelings still there, the aches forming from his torment. But his body, at the same time, felt like it was born into this world, but until his first birth, this coming in just…came, like a flick of a switch. There Theodore was, naked on the forest floor, covered in mud, ash and dried blood, the last blimps of his dreams gone, leaving him with no memories of his time in The Between nor the last two months of his innocent life.
He knew from the start, he wasn’t in the world he left. There was a presence all around him, echoing in his mind that he was different and so was his life. It took Theodore two days to find his way out of the dense forest, only increasing his hunger and insanity. When he found civilization, he knew it wasn’t salvation, but evidence of his worst fears. Theodore Tremblay was presumed dead, his parents were nowhere to be found, missing themselves and labeled the murderers of their son, though a body was never found. As well, he had no records of ever even setting foot on the Astoria campus, but rather Saint Leviathans.
His presence was of course welcomed, being placed all over the news and hundreds baffled by his memory loss, and how it seemed he hadn’t aged at all, despite being gone for four years. Theodore knew something was wrong, that he shouldn’t dwell into the whys of his new life. He could feel that he had to take his new life and work with it, attending Leviathans, where he was now the pledge to the frat, Gamma Nu Alpha, and discovering what the world gave him for his suffering, the activation of his powers.
It took four months for his powers to manifest and with being able to control hellfire, working to hone it over the past three months and hide it from his brothers in the frat. He was getting an unknown glimpse into the wytches’ world, and even more unknown was there presence of one more world. A deeper and more intense power dwelling inside his immortal frame, beckoning him to find it’s source. Theodore began his search where he last remembers, The Light, to find the infernal powers within.
✗ CHURCH OF NIGHT / SAINT LEVIATHAN UNIVERSITY - his proclaimed death was now a case of a missing, most likely run-away boy. officials scratched their head to find a plausible answers but none were present before the dark tailored suits men from the orthodox church in town stormed in. they spoke in hushed voices and before he knew it, he was released. just like that. from then, his life became a muddled of truths. he was transferred from astoria to the exclusive saint leviathan university, somehow pledged to a fraternity, and became versed in the world unseen. how little has he known ‘till this point? how much has his parents been hiding from him?
✗ SYDNEY TAYLOR - since the two of them were old enough to walk, they’ve been the best of friends. he was there when sydney got his great dane puppy, he had even helped choose a name for the puppy. they were inseparable, an old tale most have heard before. wherever he went, sydney was not far behind. keeping secrets from someone he considered his brother was a nearly impossible task. unfortunately, keeping the secret of having magic for so long could put cracks in even the strongest of friendships. as excited as he was at first, he got just as guilty that the secrets hadn’t been shared. so the night he went up in flames, sydney was non the wiser like the rest of the town…
✗ THE PICASSO - he should’ve listened to the warnings, to the burning sensation he got at the base of his head whenever the other’s hands lingered on his shoulder for what felt like eternity. not in an encouraging or inappropriate fashion, but as if he was ready to rob him of whatever he was after. his life, soul, parent’s wealth, that’s still to be found out, but the professor led him down a path of dismay. he was there to help him figure out his abilities, little did he know the older man dared to test them to all of their capabilities. so the picasso watched him burn alive, grinning widely at how his skin ripped from the infernal flames consuming him from the inside out. a poetic injustice is given when he’s clawed and dug out from the vines entangling his reborn corpse by the very one who murdered him.
His face claim is JONATHAN WHITESELL and he’s played and written by PUNLORD.
