“Well.” Zeus made his way into the room, dressed in a well-fitted suit. “I’d apologize for my absence, but it’s been an interesting few days and I wouldn’t want to bore you.” He smiled, trying his best to come off as charming. “Unless, you’d like to know? Well, if you insist. I went out for a walk and met this woman, a tailor, and asked her how much it would be to get the best suit she could make. Of course, I don’t have any of the money the humans use currently, so can you guess what I did?”
The sudden arrival of his brother (who had been all but a ghost since the days of being stricken to earth) caused his body to tense. However, he composed himself rather quickly and with it came his well-practiced nonchalance. Poseidon let Zeus talk, barely acknowledging him, but listening to his every word. All the while questions were swarming throughout his mind. Placing the blame on Zeus’s shoulders for his—and everyone else’s—current situation had not only been easy, but also made the most sense. Now he wasn't so sure how this reappearance played into his theories. Poseidon finally lifted his gaze to his brother. “Signed away her life on behalf of dear Hera’s vengeful nature?” If Zeus did sleep with this mortal (which wouldn’t be the first or the last time) and Hera caught wind—well. Hera may be confined to a human body, but Poseidon knew that wouldn't stop her.
