"You have spent so much of your life trying to do what everyone asks or expects of you, Vic. Please try and start following through with what you want," Dominique told her sister. It's why she kept her family at such a distance most of the time, it helped her release the pressures of what they seemed to expect of her. It made her feel like she had more freedom to pursue her own whims and interests. "I'd say that's a great plan. As cliché as it is, there are so many people out there. It's damn near impossible that there aren't some out there that you'll click with naturally."

"I'm working on it," Victoire replied, nodding. As one of the elder cousins, she always felt some pressure to set the example and she supposed by listening to what her parents wanted for her, her mother in particular, she hadn't been setting that example. She admired her younger sister for not succumbing to those pressures and finding her own freedom, "You're right. There has to be someone who I can click with."

"Do they let you buy things in bulk like that here?" she wondered when the woman spoke about buying bottles to take home. "I didn't realize it worked that way but if it does, I don't blame you for taking a liking to this brand. It's great."

"I don't know. I mean probably, right?" Victoire shrugged, "At the very least, they can tell me the brand and I can find it elsewhere. I'm sure I could persuade at least one of the bartenders of either option."

"Is that really so surprising?" she responded with amusement. "I don't just sit at my desk all day. I used to play Quidditch all the time and I still get some air time every now and again when my schedule allows for it," Arya shrugged casually with a laugh. "Want to go again?"

"What?" Victoire scoffed and shook her head, "No! It's not surprising at all. I mean, have you met me? Everyone thinks I'm blonde curls and good fashion sense but I can get my hands dirty and my hair messy in the air just as good as the rest of the Weasleys. Anyone who thinks it's surprising, needs to open their mind a bit more."

"I would love to see what you've done with the place," Chloé replied warmly. She had loved listening to the run down of what the woman had been working on, but to be invited had come as unexpected. "That's really kind of you to offer."

"I'll definitely need a professional's eye before I finalise everything and have a re-house warming. Which is what I've decided to call me having a party when I've redone my whole apartment," Victoire explained, laughing.

"Oh–," she twisted her head briefly when she heard someone enter. "I'll only be a minute," Bekah said, fixing up her earring in the reflection. "Did you need something?"

"I just needed to use the mirror but take your time. I'm not in any rush," Victoire said, gesturing for her to keep going, "I love your earrings by the way."

"Yeah of course not– it's no trouble for me," he nodded, walking over to hold the door in question. "There you are."

"Thank you, Mateo," Victoire said with a smile, "I would have hated to put this all down just to open the door," she explained as she walked through.

"I know you are strong but kick my doors in? That couldn't end well." Colm stated with a little chuckle at the thought. "But yeah, we can start with drinks and dancing. Sounds like you think I have plenty of game though."

"You really need to learn to stop underestimating me," Victoire replied, shaking her head in mock disappointment, "Game? Nah, I just assumed you had a date. Am I wrong?"

"That may be so, but wanting to find that balance is already getting you one step closer. I'm sure there's ways you can make sure you're still making enough time for yourself and your life outside of your job," Dominique offered up supportively. "Yeah if you got all of that done in a year I'd be both impressed and terrified about how fast that went," she admitted with a laugh. "But hopefully you can get out there and meet more people this year."

"Maybe that's how I need to phrase it for myself. Making more time for my own life and ensuring I do things that I want to do and not just work and what everybody else wants to do," Vic replied with a smile, "Yeah, even I would find it baffling though I'm sure maman would be pleased," she added. She still was very low contact with Fleur, still working on her own feelings about being forced to give her baby up, "Let's start with meeting more people and hope that love comes along with it."

"It was honestly... much needed. It takes a lot out of me to admit I need them but whenever I've taken one, I come back feeling so much more refreshed and energized," Lucy admitted. "So I honestly couldn't recommend them more, Vic. I'm sure one will do you good too."

"I might just do that. Maybe I'll meet some handsome, foreign hunk who will sweep me off my feet and I'll never come back," Victoire joked, "Or maybe I'll just have a nice time and come back with a killer tan."

Frank chuckled at that. "Fred and I can come over and lend you a hand any time," he assured warmly. "Well when we're not working of course. But you know we don't mind helping you out."

"I knew there was a time when a big family would come in handy," Victoire joked, nudging him playfully. Even if Frank wasn't biologically family, the Longbottoms had an open invitation to Weasley Christmas and every other holiday too, "Thank you, Frankie. I appreciate that."

"You're repainting your bedroom? That's cool," Dominique commented when Victoire explained her appearance. "Would you like a hand with that maybe? My afternoon's pretty free."

"Really? That would be great actually. I'm worried I'm not going to finish today by myself," Vic admitted, "If you can, dinner is on me."

Chloé nodded excitedly with a grin when the other shared her enthusiasm. "I really can't wait to finish and see it all come together," she confessed. "Absolutely," she neatly tore a page from her notebook to write out the details for Victoire. "I've got plenty of recommendations if you're passionate about redecorating and all of that. It's part of my job after all."

"How silly of me, I can't believe I forgot that. I should have come to you first for everything," Victoire replied, "I appear to be becoming quite passionate. It's nice to have a little project outside of work," she explained.

"Maybe it will and maybe it won't. But if it does, you've totally got to let me know," Trinity grinned when she'd mentioned that they might come up this week. "I never know how to feel about magazine horoscopes but maybe this is proof they're actually onto something."

"Oh I absolutely will. You know I will," Vic replied, smiling back and nodding, "Yeah. If I was ever to not believe them, it would be in magazines. Especially muggle ones. Wizarding ones, I'm more inclined to believe."

"It's quite the look, I love it." Maddie chuckled. "Oh, don't worry, I never seem to get enough of what I need. Paint, fabric, food, it's always at least two trips, so I don't blame you at all."

"Thank you. If it wouldn't absolutely be a health hazard at work, I'd probably wear it all the time," Vic admitted with a laugh, "Mood. I have decided to leave the food bit to getting a takeaway, otherwise I'd be in and out all day."

"I'd ask you what colour you chose to make it but I think that's pretty clear." Leo responded with a smirk at the state of the woman. It wasn't bad at all but it was clear she was definitely in the middle of home improvements.

Victoire let out a burst of laughter and nodded, "Yep. Maybe I should have cleaned up before I went out," she admitted jokingly, "I did go through a few test colours but this is the one I settled on," she said, placing a finger on the colour that covered the majority of her overalls, "I just got tired of white walls, you know? No matter how much I decorated them, they were just... boring."

"And what do you think I could possibly want that I haven't already got?" Some things couldn't change, like the loss of his mum and the way his family had ended up being but if he set aside that and the things that were concrete, how much more could he hope for? He had good friends, a job he enjoyed and a partner who respected him and made him happy. Honestly, he couldn't complain about anything in those areas. "Thank you though. It's taken a while to get here but it was worth it."

Vic laughed and shrugged, "I don't know, I'm not a mind reader," she replied, "Maybe you are the man who has it all and a man with a simple life at that. Alert the billionaires!" she joked, "Well, good things come to those who wait as they say. Do you think I can fit any more cliches in before midnight?" she joked.
