DC Reveals Cyborg Superman
DC has been teasing new character designs in a recent segment called, "What's New in The New 52," and today they released a rather neat sketch of Hank Henshaw. Illustrated by Kenneth Rocafort, DC has definitely made some drastic visual alterations to the dude. Apparently, Cable won't be the only one with a ridiculous arm anymore.
"Some of you might remember the last time a Cyborg Superman showed up. Would we dare revisit such a classic storyline? Hmmm. Well, never say never, right? As I've been telling you, all bets are off. Everything's on the table.
Sorry to make your head explode on a Friday, but enjoy Kenneth Rocafort's lovely sketch in the meantime. We'll be in the conference room discussing … oh, never mind."
When it comes to The New 52, Hank Henshaw last appeared in TEAM SEVEN... and as a human. This is a bit confusing seeing as Green Lantern's history is considered in continuity and that included Cyborg Superman (Sinestro Corps War, for example). But, I think it's probably best to just realize DC's continuity is all over the place at the moment and just move on, yes? Regardless, it looks like his upgraded return will be part of a new take on his last pre-New 52 appearance, and, correct me if I'm wrong, it's my understanding that was 'Reign of Doomsday.'

Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid “Wolf Grey”
Spring 2013 gave us a nice variety of Stefan Janoski signatures from Nike Skateboarding as well as promise of more good things to come. One thing missing from the SP13 preview we showed you last November is this newest release, the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid in Wolf Grey canvas. These add red details and white Swoosh/sole to arrive at a crisp and clean result that has a subtle way of drawing more attention than your average grey canvas shoe.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star “Navy Denim”
Cat scratched, whiskered and otherwise distressed denim reached its peak in the mid-2000s as abrasions and even paint splatters made their mark on the decade’s jeans. The fashion world’s grown and sexy lean in recent years sees these styles de-emphasized in favor of a more ‘clean’ look, but they’ll never go away because this is just what happens when you love a garment for a long time. Fitting, then, to see the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in navy denim, a release whose vintage appeal and blackened sole create some overlap with the ongoing John Varvatos capsule.

Vans Era “True Blue III” by JP Custom Kicks
We’ve seen many custom Vans being rocked in the sneaker community through the years. So today we bring to you the ”True Blue III” Vans Era by JP Custom Kicks. Patterend after the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” sneaker, these kicks use the Vans Era Low Pro as the model for this sick custom job. They combine the signature elephant print with the “True Blue” colorway on the midsole and inner lining, giving it that true Air Jordan feel.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Puerto Rico”
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Puerto Rico” has gotta be one of the most detailed Uptown releases we’ve ever seen. The sneaker packs in a lasered look, baseball stitching, and some beautiful leather sections in what ends up looking like a Bespoke creation. Of course this isn’t the first time that the “Puerto Rico” them has been slapped on a Nike Air Force 1 Low, but we’re going to go ahead and say that it’s the best yet in that very specific lineage.

Air Jordan 11 Low - Black / White - True Red
Originally when we previewed this pair of Air Jordan 11 Low, it boasted a vibrant red outsole. We later learned that it was a sample pair, and that the version seen here was actually the pair that would be releasing at accounts. Simply put, the design is dope! White patent leather works the base, while black nylon mesh is applied to the top of the upper. All the while, completing the look is an icy blue sole. As of now, the shoe is expected to drop at Jordan Brand accounts on June 8th.

Air Jordan 1 “Raw” Customs by Sab-One
If you’re not a Zig Zag user and Raw papers are more your thing, then this Sab-One custom is for you. The pair uses the Air Jordan 1 as its base and slaps on a crisp brown colorway inspired by your favorite organic papers for do-it-yourself “cigarette” making. The pair even gets the hemp fiber aspect in there via the rugged looking laces. We've seen Nike SB come with some 4/20 nods from time to time, but we all know that Jordan Brand is never going to take it that far so we’re glad to see a custom creation fill the void.
