Can we get a cappuccino?
I'm just going to start replying with bullshit.
ME? WORLD TRAVELER, ENTREPRENEUR, AND NOT INTERESTED IN YOU.Â
My friend telling me a real experience that happened to her this morning. GUYS HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT WOMEN DEAL WITH.
I just discovered you an hour and a half ago and based on the little bit that I've read, how do you preserve your faith in men?
I know not everyone sucks. Just gotta keep that in your mind somewhere.
Check out this piece I wrote for Thought Catalog!
Respect girls who are virgins respect girls who suck 7 dicks at a time respect girls who donât like dick respect girls who have dicks
What can a man put on his online profile that would really catch your eye?
It's not any one specific thing. It's just someone that writes things that I personally relate to.
The 5 day window
Youâve swiped left until you think you canât swipe anymore. Just when youâre about to go back to scrolling through pictures of puppies on Instagram, you find someone worthy of swiping right on. They donât have any shirtless photos and they even reference a real grown-up job in the few words below their pictures. You swipe right and youâre a match. Congrats on being a babe.
You even get as far as having a not absolutely horrible conversation with this dude via Tinder chat. Now itâs time to make actual plans. Actual IRL plans.
I feel like as the years and months go on it gets harder and harder for people to psychically meet up. You meet someone online and you have a very small window of time to make plans otherwise you forget about each other, lose interest, and find the next person to attempt to make plans with.
Especially in New York City, everyone is always âbusyâ and for the most part they are actually busy even without the quotation marks. They are working crazy schedules that are always changing on top of being scheduled to go to four different âafter work birthday drinksâ that month.
However, the word âbusyâ has been abused. Even if you are extremely busy and decide to start online dating Iâm gonna need you to commit to being able to meet up with someone within 5 days of deciding you wanna meet up in the first place.
The whole point of online dating is to actually meet someone IN REAL LIFE. If I wanted a fucking pen pal, Iâd go back to 1995.
I met a guy on OKCupid and we texted for about a week before going on our date. I had a really great date and he's a really good guy, but I didn't feel excited to be texting him anymore so I just kind of let him fade away. He probably felt the same about me because he didn't reach out as well. Have you ever felt this way? It's as if the anticipation leading up to the date is more exciting to me than the actual date itself. How do you recommend I stop this?
Yessss. That happens so often. That's kinda why I think it's best not too text or talk too much before actually meeting.
Read your last post. Hearted it etc. but what's a real grown up job to you? If someone is a plumber or a bartender a bodega clerk or a damn shepherd I feel like they don't deserve a post making them out to be low. đ
To me, a real grown up job is a job that someone is confident and happy doing. I never referenced what type of job that is. If a guy is happy being a plumber and feels fulfilled then that's fine with me!

Hey Lauren! Happy new year! Did you make any resolutions for 2016?
Thanks! I don't really believe in resolutions because I think if you wanna make a change you should be able to start any day!
