I do think that Sebastian Todd’s Twitter behaviour is a big part of why he’s not been rehired, even if you don’t think it’s fair. It does make a lot of sense.

Regardless of their history together, Jess has been making sweeping efforts to clear up her reputation, presumably for my street’s return, and I’m not sure how rehiring Sebastian Todd after his recent actions would reflect well on her. Sure it would show she is making nice with people she has wronged, but it would be seen as at the expense of the people he has wronged.

I genuinely think the best thing for him though is to be distanced from Aphmau Projects. I’m not sure what good would come from putting him and Jess in a circumstance together, especially if working with her impacted his mental health as much as it is said it did, and it’s a shame they couldn’t come to that decision together, but I ultimately think it’s for the best for both of them.

I get that 100% at the end of the day I wouldn’t be mad if he was rehired or if they keep the new guy. It’s not really going to affect me I really just wanted to be an og mcd purist and crack a joke.

but I wish Sebastian the opportunity to heal and the va’s he’s hurt the opportunity to heal as well.

I saw you made a post about Sebastian Todd and I am sending this post to you because I am unsure if you know exactly why Todd is disliked. This should give you a glimpse into the situation.

I gave it a read through and in all honesty it’s not something I feel it’s my place to judge on. He’s being weird for sure I’m just a og mcd purist so my opinions lean towards that.

I’m also not actively in the fandom so I can’t crucify him nor defend him tbh

I also believe this is a double edged sword. Once again he is being weird for sure. But we know he got fucked over by Jess at one point so I would hold disdain for the character too. Mental health has taken a toll in his life as well and I think it should be accounted for. I don’t think it should resolve any issues he’s caused but we don’t really know what triggers a person if we don’t know them personally so it makes it hard to determine what a unwarranted or warranted crash out or episode could be.

I go back to double edged sword because this fandom does a lot of forgiving towards Jess and her strange behavior and actions towards fans and vas, as well as Jason’s. Jess fought with one of my friends and publicly disrespected him when he was only a teenager as well. But she’s consistently forgiven and supported, but her bad aren’t held to the same standards because theyre not providing you content.

MyStreet Garroth is afraid of weed and if he even hears about smoking he’d be like “Get away from me! I can’t be around DRUGS”

But MCD Garroth would so smoke weed, out of like a Sherlock pipe or something. Him and Laurance definitely smoke in the tower and wrapped Dante up in their smoke sessions before they go to the Irene Dimension. Liochant would act like MyStreet Garroth when he finds out though.

Thinking about Aphmau’s character design in late season 1. The flower crown, the purple maiden dress,

War is coming. She’s not sure when, but it will. Zane is forcing other villages into submission. He’s creating an ultimatum: join the O’Khasis alliance or be considered an enemy. He holds villages hostage by kidnapping their lords, like she has seen with Bright Port and Pikoro Village. And he burns villages to the ground if they dare speak out of line, like back in the Eastern Wolf Tribe where the only survivor was a small wolf pup hiding underneath crates and boxes

Phoenix Drop is one slip up away from becoming an enemy to one of the most powerful city-states in Ru’aun. They have a good handful of loyal allies, and yet the village itself is still small. They are small and they are weak compared to the size of the O’Khasis army

So in this time of peace, she is preparing for war. In an act as simple as building a treehouse for her two sons, she’s thinking about the inevitability of violence. She’s imagining her two boys climbing up the steps and hiding themselves away. They will be safe up high where the soldiers can’t see them. They will be safe. That’s what she keeps telling herself

When Garroth joins them and the two of them play with the kids in the now finished treehouse, they enjoy the few moments of peace they have left. Aphmau, with her sword within reaching distance. And Garroth, who refuses to wear anything less than full armor

This is what looking at the aphmau tag is like. I’ve always been kinda uncomfortable with the idea of people rewriting and redesigning Jess’ series and characters. I get not everything is well written/done but there’s so much media out and it’s disrespectful to take over other peoples art when it’s incredibly possible for you to make your own stories/characters/art.

Drawing inspiration from her work or creating fan art, fan fiction, ocs, ect is different as well. Reshaping the entirety of her work and her characters because you don’t like it means you’re not a fan of the work

I’d like to add it’s fully normal to not like every aspect of a piece of media, I myself don’t like the direction Mystreet went in, I dislike aarmau, I think there should be better diversity, and I just straight up hate Zane as a character. But I would not change her work or her character designs because it’s not mine.

I am a FAN, so of course I don’t like to see her work being altered
