Thick Syrup Records

Thick Syrup is an independent record label founded in 2006 by Travis McElroy and based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The label has released a variety of work in different genres, making it difficult to pigeonhole as having any one artistic mission. Thick Syrup has consistently shown a commitment towards underground Rock/Experimental/Punk and Indie bands. Notable releases to date include albums by bands and artists such as The Chrome Cranks, To Live and Shave in LA, Bob Bert’s Bewitched [Sonic Youth and Pussy Galore], Jad and David Fair of the legendary Half Japanese, David Markey [Director of 1991: The Year Punk Broke, The Reinactors, Dinosaur Jr – Bug, Lovedolls Superstar] and Don Fleming’s band, The Velvet Monkey’s [Producer of Andrew WK, Joan Jett, the Posies, Screaming Trees, Sonic Youth, Teenage Fanclub].
