okay so what if Palomo goes to Simmons and is like “I really like Jensen and I would like to take her out on a date.” and Simmons is like SUPER confused because why the fuck is Palomo telling him this??? and then Palomo is like, “Well I’m like…asking for permission? Not that you own Katie—Jensen but like she really looks up to you and I wanted to make sure it was okay with you?”

And Simmons is just like “What?!”

But Palomo kind of takes his surprised/shocked exclamation as “Sure, Palomo, you do you” and he hugs Simmons before running off and Simmons is just standing there and he looks up at the sky and yells “WHAT!?” again and that’s how Grif finds him.

“Palomo just asked me if I could drive him and Jensen to the cliffs for their date?” Grif says. “I—I asked him why and he said that she’s not allowed to drive any more and he never learned since he joined the new republic so early and so they needed one of the dads to do it? What the fuck.”
