Resurgence

It’s been so long since I’ve been here, it’s like coming back to a forgotten haven that no longer needs to keep me safe.

The words feel so familiar, but I can’t picture out the moments they’ve been written.

Maybe it’s for the best.

Anyone would be frustrated at the thought of losing one of the very few things they cared about in this world.

Thank you for reminding me that life is not empty.

I have fanart all over my walls. It’s THAT important to me. Trust me, any writer will treasure it like the precious compliment that it truly is.

I treasure every single piece of fan art, fan theory, fan-anything that I receive. To see people engage with something I created…It brightens even the darkest days. As a fan, never underestimate the impact you have on creatives. I will literally go through the ‘The Sons of Thestian’ and ‘Harmatia Cycle’ tag every day so that I don’t miss any posts. One new post is enough to keep me smiling all day.

You see that's the thing about writing, it was never quite easy for me. I could never write anything without any form of inspiration or sadness. Writing for me was like a never-ending stream of conflicting metaphors and emotions that couldn't exist without the other. I used to constantly write because of recurring instances of sadness, and now I find myself unable to do so without them. The inabilty to write also causes a form of sadness, one which ironically gives a longing to write again. It was a never ending cycle that I've learned to enjoy. - 12/29/16

You’re going to forget me. It won’t be fast or sudden or something where I’m clear one day and an empty space the next. But, slowly, you’ll forget the sound of my voice, and then you won’t be able to picture the shape of my face, and eventually you’ll be looking at the sky right before the clouds start pouring rain, and you won’t be able to quite place the familiarity of that color, but it will be the same gray-blue that is my eyes. You’ll no longer know that, though. I’ll just be an outline, a blurry body of disconnected memories that occasionally fits into your past. And that’s okay. Some people aren’t meant to be remembered. I’m just one of those people.
