society feeds everyone this false idea that a romantic relationship determines attractiveness or how adequate someone is. in the media, being single is often the punchline. it’s often a “hahahhaaha u haven’t found someone that wants to be with u. hahhaaha ur ugly” type of narrative. it’s not only old and tired but completely inaccurate. being single does not equal unattractive. being single does not equal inadequate. there’s nothing wrong with seeking companionship and a romantic relationship. we all want some sort of companionship. it’s human nature. but u have to realize that a relationship will not fix all of ur issues or any demons and past traumas that u have dealt with. u have to rely on urself for validation and for love. u have to love urself so much that u don’t need anyone else to make u feel good enough. don’t let anybody clown u for being single. being single is not something to be ashamed about.
